I will do best with someone that works from home or someone that is a caregiver and stays at home or has a securely fenced working farm where I can hang with you. Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Russ is such a sweet boy. He loves ALL the attention and has plenty of energy to do anything you ask of him! He lays down when nothing exciting is happening but is always up for play. He is great with other dogs and kids- not sure about cats. He is house trained fine but has chewed a kids toy here or there when left out. He loves a good bone to chew. He is 4 years old, we have had had him 2.5 of those years. We love him dearly but he needs more time and exercise outside the house and yard than we are able to give. He is a snuggler and his absolute favorite thing is to chase a laser light. He is 50% poodle, 25% golden retriever, and 25% yellow lab, so he is not hypoallergenic. He takes a little while to warm up, so he requires a patient owner who will work with him on manners, as he occasionally jumps, and pulls on a leash. He is a good boy, and I think these behaviors will mellow with more attention and time.
