Welcome Bluebell to CCPAL Rescue. She is an Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix is our best guess. She weighs about 65 pounds. She is 4 years old. She is pretty good on the leash and is very affectionate. She is definitely a people person and likes strangers. She has one blue eye and one golden brown eye. She has the feathering of the Golden Retriever. She is potty trained and she does good with other dogs. She likes car rides and she has some nice commands under her belt. She knows sit, down, stay and takes treats nicely. She is in a home with a wonderful family that now has to take care of their older mom with dementia. Bluebell is a little big and young for an older lady with dementia so Bluebell needs to find a better home that has time to spend with her walking, jogging and hiking. Bluebell is good with other dogs and she will make an active family a great companion. Her long legs would make her good at keeping stride with a jogger. She is not over the top active and likes to rest and be affectionate as well. She would be fine with a moderately active family. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older She is healthy and has had her year long heart guard shot. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Meet Daisy! Sweet Daisy is a gorgeous 8.5 year old Doodle. She is medium in size at around 40 lbs. Her previous owners are elderly and no longer able to care for her. Daisy is kind and loving and just wants to be with her people. Taking walks and smelling the world are her favorite things. Being talked to sweetly and petted is love to her - but once you start, she wants you to pet her forever and can be pushy for more. Daisy has basic training and knows sit, down, stay, off, paw, leave it and will wait for her food until given permission. She is an active girl and no couch potato. She will do best in a home with an active person who loves to walk. A home with a fenced yard is a must. Daisy is hit or miss with other dogs. She will be best as the only dog in the home. She does not like to share her toys, food or her people with other dogs. She is not aggressive but can give a growl to another dog if she wants to be left alone. Meet Grace! This beautiful girl came from an accidental litter. She and her siblings started their lives in the backyard, scrounging for food scraps. Thankfully they are all safe with us in a foster home and are thriving. Grace is a beautiful mix of Setter and Lab. She has a tall, lanky look to her and is just stunning. She has a sweet personality and loves other dogs. She is timid in the world - still learning how everything works. She will greatly benefit from having another confident dog in the home. She is not well suited to apartment living and we would love to see her in a home with a yard. She does well with kids but we prefer kids over 8 as she can startle a little at times. She is learning to be by herself occasionally but finds that difficult. She will need some help with this. She is learning to walk on a leash and is getting the hang of that. Grace will be vaccinated, chipped and spayed. Beautiful Lexi is ready for her new start in life. A gorgeous girl, she has now been rescued from forced breeding and is ready for that cushy retirement gig. This pretty girl can't wait to have a humnan family of her own with a yard to pay, a couch to curl up on and all the belly rubs she can get. Lexi will need someone with patience to understand her - all this will be new to her! But she will reward you 10 times over with her love and devotion. You can't keep a golden retriever down. Lexi will be spayed soon but can go home now with a contract to ensure her spay and dental at our vet (included in adoption fee) and to a home with a secure fenced outdoor area for safe playtime.

Russ is such a sweet boy. He loves ALL the attention and has plenty of energy to do anything you ask of him.! That means as an energetic dog, he is not likely a great fit for those looking for a super calm dog. He is great with other dogs and kids. He is house trained fine but has chewed a kids toy here or there when left out. His worst habit is getting into trash when he’s bored. He is 4 years old, we have had had him 2.5 of those years. We love him dearly but he needs more time and exercise outside the house and yard than we are able to give. He is a snuggler and his absolute favorite thing is to chase a laser light. He is 50% poodle, 25% golden retriever, and 25% yellow lab, so he is not hypoallergenic. He takes a while to warm up, so he requires a patient owner who will work with him on manners, as he occasionally jumps, pulls on a leash, and has counter surfed when he feels ignored. He is a good boy, and I think these behaviors will mellow with more attention.
