Story
Bear is a happy and friendly dog with a sweet smile.  He generally gets along well with dogs of all sizes and loves to play chase and wrestle in the yard.  He is respectful of smaller dogs and usually takes a low position to make them more comfortable. He is gentle with people and has done well with both adults and children alike.  The only issue with small children is his size, and he may lean against or push on a small child being unaware of his body size and space. Bear loves “sniffing walks” and to explore his neighborhood, but must remain on a leash at all times.  He understands the commands sit, down, wait, and “inside”. He is responsive to liver treats (his favorite) and is usually gentle when taking one.  Bear prefers to chew on soft toys. He sleeps on the couch at night and prefers a soft surface due to his past leg surgery.  In typical Pyrenees fashion, he can be protective of his home and yard.  He will bark to let others know that he is guarding his space but is fine with people entering the home.  He has never met a stranger and is very enthusiastic to make new friends.  He is crate trained and housed trained.  His adoption fee is $525 and he is neutered, Heartworm Negative, Microchipped and has his shots.  Large Breed Dog   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. Story
A woman found herself with a big surprise, when 10 sweet puppies magically appeared in her yard one Sunday. Now, these precious pups are looking for their forever homes after spending some time in a crowded shelter. Coco attended a child's birthday party with her siblins and she was the belle of the ball. She was very tolerant of all the little hands that picked her up and played with her. She enjoys toys and has learned to sit for a treat in just a few minutes. This intelligent, lovable girl would do well as a solo pup or part of a pack. She will make a great forever friend.Accuracy is not guaranteed; however, information provided is accurate to the best of our knowledge.  For more information on the pet, please send an email to info@aforeverhome.org March 12, 2025, 7:40 am

Story
IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTING ON PETFIN DER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit: Caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. Meet Jack - Jack is 3-month-old puppy and was recently rescued from Texas. Jack and his sister were rescued from the streets, as many Texas dogs live this way. He was born into stray life and is now acclimating to being in a home. He is very shy but also very sweet and is coming out of his shell. He is doing an impeccable job with crate training and house training. Because he is so shy, he will be required to go to a home with another young and confident dog to help her build her own confidence. Dogs learn confidence from dogs, not people. Jack will need a buddy who is youthful and will be like a big sister or big brother. He is not a match for a senior dog. There are no exceptions to these requirements. We must do what is best for Jack! Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. We do not know this litters parents therefore we are taking a guess of their breed simply from visual characteristics. Puppies require an adopter who is at home a good portion of the day to continue training - no exceptions! This puppy has received vet care from a veterinarian, is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines and microchipped. This puppy will need to be neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy is $400.00. The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**
