August Rush is a gentle, sensitive, and quietly affectionate Golden Retriever who is learning to trust the world at his own pace. At three years old, he is experiencing so many firsts after spending years in a shelter where he had little socialization, no time in a home, and no opportunities to explore the outside world. Despite this, he is as sweet as can be and is making beautiful progress in learning to connect with people and enjoy the comforts of a loving home. August thrives in a calm, predictable environment where he can feel safe. He loves routine, enjoys his walks, and is happiest when he has a canine friend by his side to show him the way. While he may be reserved at first, he is naturally curious and watches closely with his warm brown eyes, slowly but surely accepting invitations for affection. He’s very treat-motivated once he feels secure and has recently started choosing to snuggle up next to his foster on the couch for naps. He walks beautifully on a leash and finds comfort in quiet outdoor time, but loud noises, sudden movements, and raised voices can still startle him. His crate is his safe place, and he appreciates having a quiet retreat where he can relax when needed. He will do best in a home that will continue to offer him gentle patience, encouragement, and kindness while helping him experience the world at his own pace. At about a year old, I've got boundless energy and a zest for life that's hard to contain. When my human friends are around, I can't help but show my excitement through playful jumps and a bit of enthusiastic mouthiness. Now, I'll admit I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to being a grown-up dog. But hey, I'm a quick study and eager to please! She was born into stray life and is now acclimating to being in a home. She is very shy but also very sweet and is coming out of her shell. These puppies are the best! They like everyone they meet, both human and canine. They love playing outside when the weather is okay. That has helped their potty training advance. All by themselves they quickly figured out that it would be a good idea to do their buisiness only on the half of their room that is covered in newspaper. Now they can run around a much larger part of the house with very few potty accidents. They are always busy (except when sleeping) but are generally surprisingly quiet. Even when my dogs bark, the puppies do not join in.  Novak is a super playful boy. This fun, energetic pup loves toys and roughousing with other dogs. Are you an runner? He would love to be your running partner or go for walks. Do you have a lively dog who would love a friend? He would have a great time with them.
