Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident. At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning. One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. Lucky is a wonderful dog who joined our family in 2020 after adopting him from a shelter at 3.5 years old. He's very friendly with both people he knows and strangers, and loves being petted, getting belly rubs, and spending time outside. Lucky's energy is pretty low, but he can get very energetic for short periods when playing with our other dog. He's house-trained and knows basic commands.Lucky gets along well with our other dog, but can be reactive when encountering unknown dogs on walks. He walks well on a leash except when he sees another dog, which causes him to pull strongly toward them. However, he has never fought or bitten another dog. A home with a fenced backyard would greatly help make his daily exercise easier and leash walks more manageable!I recently moved from a house to an apartment and, as I've gotten older, managing him on walks has become physically difficult for me. Lucky is a sweet, loving dog who deserves a great home where he can continue to live a happy life.
