Story
Hi there, my name is Noodle! I am an approx. 68 lbs 1-year-old male Goldendoodle who was brought into Rockwall Adoption Center as a stray on 03/21/26 and after completing my stray hold, I am now available for adoption! I am a very energetic boy who would benefit from an active lifestyle and a consistent training routine! My adoption fee is $125. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccine, DHLPP booster vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and Heartworm negative! If you have another pet in the home, a meet and greet is strongly encouraged as I am a new resident and the shelter staff are unsure of how I interact with other animals! The staff will update my bio accordingly when they learn more about me! **Grooming note: RAC cannot guarantee that I am a non-shedding, hypoallergenic dog. I will require routine grooming every 6-8 weeks! ** If you are interested in meeting or adopting me, please submit an adoption application at https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ !  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. March 26, 2026, 4:53 am

Story
Hello, this is Blanca! she is a 4 year old husky/golden retriever mix. She’s a very sweet and loyal companion. Has the biggest personality, is very high energy and loves to play but can also be lazy and sleep all day. Would love for her to have a big backyard to play in. I’m hoping she can find a home that not only sees her as a pet but as family!

Story
Jake wiggles and wags! His tail is in constant motion as his whole body wiggles to keep up! Jake exudes happiness and it is contagious! Jake is a 6 to 8 month mix (Shepherd, Golden, Chow??) that weighs 25 pounds and was brought into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/16 by one of our officers. He has short legs and is low to the ground. He’s also a little stocky! Jake is what they call a Velcro dog. He either stayed so close that he literally had his nose touching me, or he was sitting looking up at me. He is very affectionate and is generous with kisses. He’s a lap dog wannabe (see first photo). He’s bouncy, friendly, well mannered, easy-going, and sweet natured. He walked OK on a leash. As a medium size dog, he should be able to go with you almost anywhere. One of the things he would love to do with you is to go for walks and then come back and relax in the comfort of your home on your lap!

Story
Hi there… my name is Bruce, and I’m a new face here at Balch Springs Animal Services. I was found wandering the streets all by myself, scared and unsure. I had a collar, but no one ever came for me. For a while, I didn’t understand why.I’m a little shy when I first meet new people, but once I realize you won’t hurt me, my tail starts to wag and my heart opens right up. The staff here say I’m one of the sweetest boys they’ve met. I love other dogs, and I’m fully vetted and ready to find a home where I can finally feel safe and loved.I’ve heard people say that sometimes black dogs get overlooked in shelters. Maybe it’s because our shiny coats don’t always stand out in pictures. But I hope someone will look past my color and see me — a gentle soul who just wants to be loved. I promise I’ll be your loyal friend, your shadow, and your reason to smile every single day.All I need is a little patience, a kind heart, and a soft spot to call my own. Could that be with you?

Story
🐾 Meet Millie – The Sweetest Girl Looking for Love! 🐾 Millie is a chameleon. She can look soft and squishy, or she can look calm and aloof. The one thing that is constant is what a special, loving girl she is. She looks at her foster parents with love in her eyes all the time, that when her face softens and a sereness comes over her. She is a delight, she is gentle and sweet but you can tell this one loves deeply when she feels safe. Millie is 48 lbs, loves to play especially in water. She is intrigued by animals on TV and will focus in every time that is playing. She loves everyone she meets—kids, big dogs, little dogs—you name it! I just have so much love to give and can’t wait to find a family who will love me back. So why am I looking for a new home? Well, my owner’s boyfriend’s dog didn’t like me and wasn’t very nice to me. My owner made the tough decision to let me go because she knew it was for the best. And you know what? That means I now have the chance to find a family who will love me as much as I love them! I’m about 49 pounds, petite but full of personality! This sweet girl is much smaller than she looks, crate trained, potty-trained and good with other pups and children. Millie has lived with a child in a wheelchair and does just fine! Millie is about a year old and finds herself in an unexpected position. And its better for Millie to be in a home she can thrive in. She is medium sized, house and crate trained and while she still pulls on her leash, walking manners are improving quickly. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.
