Is anyone missing an approximately 3 year old, male, Goldendoodle? He was found off Lynne Drive in Rockwall on 12/28/2024. He will be on stray hold for 7 days to allow his owners time to claim him. If you recognize him, please call the Rockwall Adoption Center at 972-771-7750 ext 2. All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. This delightfully charming fellow is Jack, brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/23 as a stray. My Dog Scanner app suggests Lab/Retriever with possibly Vizsla in his breed mix. Jack weighs 76 pounds and is about 2 years old. He is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm. He does jump on you quite often in his excitement so perhaps the first order of business for his new owner or foster would be manners training. He chased the tennis balls I threw but wasn`t trained to return them. Another thing he could undoubtedly be taught. Jack is such a happy spunky boy with a real zeal for living! I can see him with a person or family with an active lifestyle going camping, hiking or jogging. Just seems like he`s that the kind of guy. Jack would need daily playtime, exercise and enrichment. He walks nicely on a leash. He did his business outside. Jack has obviously been well cared for and it is surprising that his people have not come looking for him. Though he wants to return to his people, he would be happy to become the beloved pet of another family. He is friendly and likes to be petted. Due to his 76 pound weight and propensity to jump on people, he would not be suited to a family with small children until that can be dealt with. You wouldn`t have to spend much time with this adorable guy to fall in love!

Maggie Is Available For Adoption Maggie is the sweetest dog & a wonderful companion! She's 7 & a half years old & still fun-loving & eager to please. She's active when you want her to be & snuggly at the end of the day.🩷 She weighs 42 lbs & she's estimated to be a golden retriever/border collie cross. Maggie loves to play in the backyard & go on adventures to the beach, parks, & on hikes. She doesn't love long car rides, but she's always excited at the destination. Some of her favorite things are running around, tearing apart a new squeaky toy, yogurt lids, playing fetch & a good bed with bolsters. She loves being around the water even though she can't swim (life jacket always) & she is a GREAT walker. Maggie is selective with who her dog friends are.. she prefers slow intros. She's a little shy with new people, but warms up quickly. She does not like loud noises (fireworks & guns are a no go) and will go hide in the smallest place she can find. Maggie is perfectly housetrained & she's been fully vetted. Overall, she's a very obedient, goofy, AMAZING girl who is a joy to have around.
