Story
Are you my forever companion? I'm Charlie, a sweet and loving pup looking for my perfect match. I'm a bit particular and enjoy my routine, so someone who understands and can accommodate that would be ideal. I can be shy at first, so a patient and kind partner is a must. No other furry friends or little ones at home, please! A cozy yard for playtime would be wonderful, but l'm not a fan of long walks or car rides. Let's cuddle up at home together! Charlie wants you to know even with his black fur and scars from puppy strangles, he is handsome, sweet, loving, smart and has all the same love and personality as the fluffy one over there! Charlie loves meeting new people; not around kiddos much. He is practicing his manners and learning his commands. He is fully potty trained and uses a doggy door. He knows the command sit and we are working on more. He loves taking walks and exploring the outdoors. He loves his ball and playing in the sprinkler. Charlie is king of the backyard sunshine! He loves to play but is a very chill, loving boy. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at http://dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
Meet Millie, this sweet girl is much smaller than she looks, about 30 pounds, crate trained, potty-trained and good with other pups and children. Millie has lived with a child in a wheelchair and does just fine! Millie is about 10 months old and finds herself in an unexpected position. She had a loving owner, but the family situation changed, and a new marriage brought a ten-year old dog that attacks and will not accept her. Millie is so sweet so it is better for her to be in a home that she can thrive. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Clarence is doing so much better these days and enjoys the comforts of a home. He is very cuddly, and you can't help but love him! His wounds have healed. Some hair is growing back but not all of it will due to the severity but it sure didn't stop him from trusting again. He is such a good boy. Dog friendly and loves to run outside in the yard with his foster friend. This poor boy was either dragged or received chemical burns on his body. He was found as stray at the shelter, we just knew he needed relief and extra love and attention. We pleaded for a foster so he could experience what love, safety, comfort are all about. Despite the pain he was in he was sweet, loving and grateful. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Story
Chonkers is a great dog! He has a sweet and curious personality! He loves playing with the other dog we have at home. Chonkers will play tug-of-war with our dog Bailey! He tries to play with the cats, but they aren't that interested! Lol! He knows the sit command and loves to get treats! He's working on the release command. He is doing well pottying outside, but does have occasional accidents in the house. We're trying to take him out every 30 minutes. He does well in a crate, and sleeps in one at night. Chonkers is teething and chews on any and everything! We use chew sticks and squeaker toys to help with this. He loves getting peanut butter out of a kong toy! Chonkers likes to be where the action is. He follows us around the house and likes to join us on the couch. He likes to play fetch, and will chase a tennis ball. He discovered his tail, and will chase it when it catches his eye. He just recently started rolling onto his back for tummy rubs. Chonkers wasn't too fond of taking a bath. He tried crawling out of the bathtub. Lone pup found by citizen brought to shelter.
