Story
Meet McCoy – the sweetest little sidekick you didn’t know you were missing. At just 4.5 months old and 24 pounds, McCoy is a delightful mix of silly, snuggly, and smart. He may be a tiny bit shy at first, but give him a little patience and you’ll quickly discover his playful personality and affectionate heart. McCoy comes from a pretty interesting family tree! His mom is a Heeler/Beagle mix and his dad is a cream-colored Goldendoodle, which resulted in one very unique and adorable pup. He has the coloring of his siblings but favors his Beagle-mix mama in looks — with short little legs, a loooong Basset-style body, and a thick, medium-length coat that’s perfect for cuddling. Though he was born outside and spent his early weeks living outdoors with his parents and littermates, McCoy is now thriving inside a loving foster home. He’s learning all about family life — from the excitement of greeting you at the door (he gives the best welcome-home kisses!) to living with young boys ages 6 and 10. Every day he grows braver and more confident.   At first, the big dogs in his foster home made him a little nervous — but now? He’s happily part of the crew. He absolutely loves to run and play outside, and fetch with tennis balls is quickly becoming one of his favorite games. And yes… he is SMART. You can just see those wheels turning.   One of the most special things about McCoy is how deeply he bonds with his people. When his foster mom recently had a terrible migraine, McCoy instinctively curled up beside her and stayed close, offering quiet comfort. He’s not just cute — he truly cares. His activity level is beautifully balanced. He enjoys playtime and adventures, but he’s just as happy snuggled up right next to you. With a loving, supportive family, McCoy is going to absolutely bloom into the best kind of companion — loyal, joyful, and full of heart. He is expected to grow to around 45–50 pounds when fully grown. If you’re looking for a special boy who is adorable inside and out, McCoy may be your perfect match. To learn more about McCoy, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com.We transport from our rescue base in Nashville up the northeastern corridor of states to approved adopters. McCoy is ready to find his forever family — maybe it’s you.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.May 15, 2026, 10:16 pm

Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
