Story
Scully’s mom was a Golden Retriever (we have pictures). Scully is not very pushy when it comes to getting attention but appreciates a laid back companion. He is happy and playful and loves toys with squeakers, stuffed animals and lots of snuggle time!! Scully gets along with other dogs and loves to play with those dogs he knows best. He is on the shy side, so a quiet home with plenty of outside adventures would be his preference. The Adoption Fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea, Tick and Heartworm Treatment and Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed.Scully's adoption fee (if picked up locally in Crossville, Tennessee) is $225. Story
Meet Houlihan! Houli just celebrated her first birthday, and while she may not be the kind of dog who runs up to greet strangers right away, she has been making quiet, meaningful progress every day in foster care. Houli came from a life with very little human interaction, so the world can still feel big and scary to her. When she’s nervous, she doesn’t have a mean bone in her body. With patience, consistency, and the comfort of her foster home, she’s slowly learning that people can be trusted. Her foster mom has already seen some huge milestones: Houli is getting the hang of crate training, has started relaxing on the couch beside her foster, and now accepts gentle pets. Every little step forward feels special with this sweet girl. What Houli lacks in confidence with people, she more than makes up for with other dogs. She absolutely loves canine companionship and comes alive when she gets to play. A confident, social dog in her forever home would likely help her continue building confidence and adjust to family life. Houli is looking for a calm, patient adopter who understands that trust can’t be rushed. She may never be a clingy, cuddly dog, but she deserves a family who will love her for exactly who she is and celebrate the small victories along the way. In return, you’ll get to watch a shy little dog slowly discover safety, comfort, and happiness at her own pace - and there’s something incredibly rewarding about that journey.
