Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 12/17/24 Reason for being in rescue:  breeder release/breeder is retiring dogs from his program Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? We call her Penny for short.  Penny would do well in nearly any home provided her adopters are loving and include her in all their adventures. Whether you are a single person, a couple, or a family Penny simply wants to play and shower you with love. She’s especially fond of children and would enjoy being part of a family with built-in playmates, though she is a big girl so kids older than 8 years are preferable. Penny is happiest around other dogs and enjoys daily playtime with her canine friends. She would thrive with another dog and needs one to learn from.  First preference will be given to homes that have another large, gregarious dog for Penny to follow.   What is my personality like? Penny is a beautiful, highly energetic, and happy girl who’s looking for her forever home! Penny came to us as a breeder release, and although much of the world is new to her, her zest for life makes every experience a joy for her. Penny loves spending her days outside, whether she’s playing ball with her caregivers or happily running around with the big dogs here. She thrives on her daily playtime with her canine friends and is a true bundle of energy and playfulness. Penny's adopter will need to spend time on leash training. Currently she loves to walk between your legs and will wrap you up in the leash. She just can’t contain herself when she’s out and about. She will also need taught her basic commands like sit, down, stay, and come. Penny is a loving, happy girl who is always eager to please. She would be thrilled to accompany you on any adventure, whether it's a walk or jog, a trip to the café, or even an outing to the beach or mountains. No matter where you go, Penny will happily join in the fun and bring a smile to your face. Penny is eagerly awaiting a forever home that will appreciate her energetic antics. If you’re looking for a joyful, energetic companion who is always on fast-forward, and ready for adventure, Penny just may be your perfect match! How do I act when I first meet new people?  Penny has never met a stranger, she is anything but shy. Penny believes every person was put on this earth for her to play with, love, and receive love in return. Other tips and tidbits: Penny was born on 01/15/2019. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. January 31, 2025, 3:10 pm

Story
Turbo is a big dog with a bigger personality. Turbo likes his life a certain way, which is mainly a ball to play with, a person to be with, and a nice bed to lay on. He is tolerant of other dogs, and can definitely go to a house with the right fur siblings, but he is more interested in living the calm life. His size really doesn’t match his temperament, as he is one of the calmest dogs at the shelter. It won’t take him long to catch on to your home routine, and once he has it down, your day to day life with Turbo should be very easy. He prefers calmer dogs around his size, and no small kids or animals. He is a dog that won’t change your lifestyle very much once you take him home!

Story
Hey! My name is Penny and I am looking for my forever home. My friends at the shelter describe me as calm and loving. After a short walk I am content to hop up on my bench and take a nice, long nap. I take treats gently and am very easy to leash up. For some reason I do not like cats and would need to go to a home without cats. Some dogs are ok with me but others I don`t like as much. It is hard to say if I will like my protentional dog sibling or not, but don`t worry, you can bring them by the shelter and I can decide for myself when I meet them. A more calm dog with a soft approach seems to be more up my alley. I have a lot of love to give and just want the right family to give it to!

Story
Hello! I’m Saint, a Retriever mixed breed dog. I have been described as friendly, loving, protective, adventurous, and doting. Some of my favorite things to do are bury treats and mark my territory on walks. I’m not a huge fan of toys or treats, but I love playing with people! I know the commands sit and leave it. I would like to learn more commands too! My ideal home would have dogs that are on the more gentle and dainty side because I`m just learning how to play. I`m a little shy when it comes to meeting news dogs, but I warm up quickly. I would love to go on a couple walks or runs a day too! I look forward to meeting you soon!
