Diesel is a 7 month old Golden Retriever/Rottweiler. He is not used to being in a kennel and will need a forever home quickly! He had some training from his former owner and needs to be rehomed through no fault of his own. He should be fed away from other dogs due to some resource guarding behaviour, but does want to play with them. He is the perfect age for training and would be a great addition to a home! Come and visit Diesel at our Adoption Center!

Story
Meet Banjo: The Resilient Tail-Wagger in Search of a Forever Family Banjo is a 2-year-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix whose golden coat glows as brightly as his spirit. Life hasn’t always been kind to him, but he’s the type of dog who never lets it dim his joy. Banjo has been adopted and returned to the shelter—through no fault of his own. He came back with a badly injured tail that had to be partially amputated. But if you ask Banjo, his wag is still as strong as ever, and he’s just as ready to share his happiness with the world. Banjo is an energetic, playful pup who thrives on activity. His favorite game? Fetch! He’ll chase a ball with boundless enthusiasm and proudly bring it back, over and over, his stubby tail wagging like crazy. Training will be key to helping Banjo channel his energy, and with his intelligence, he’ll likely thrive in a structured environment. He’s just waiting for someone patient enough to guide him to his full potential. Though Banjo loves other dogs, his rough-and-tumble play style can sometimes overwhelm them. He needs a home with dog-savvy companions or as the only canine star in the family. He’d do best with someone who can guide his exuberance and channel his energy into positive outlets. This month marks Banjo’s one-year anniversary at the shelter. That’s a full year of waiting for someone to see what an incredible dog he truly is. Banjo may have faced challenges, but his heart remains wide open. He’s ready to love—and be loved—in a way only a dog like Banjo can offer. Are you the one to finally give Banjo the home he’s been waiting for? Come meet him today, and let him show you how much joy a wagging tail—no matter the length—can bring into your life.
