Story
Aspen is 11 months old and is very fun and energetic! She loves people and loves being socialized as much as possible… she is a quick learner and is motivated by treats! She loves to explore and be outside, so a fenced in area would be ideal for her! With our busy family schedules and young children we have not been able to spend as much time with her as what we would like…

Story
Meet Daisy!
Breed: Golden Retriever / Irish Setter Mix
Age: 10 Months
Surrendered Due to Allergies Daisy is a playful, energetic young dog looking for a home that can keep up with her lively spirit! At just 10 months old, she’s already packed with personality and has a love for outdoor adventures. She absolutely adores spending time in the yard, and her favorite pastime? Picking up large rocks and carrying them around like precious treasures! Daisy is especially fond of the snow – she’ll put her nose right in it and sniff around. Daisy is already familiar with basic commands like "sit," "paw," and "leave it," but like most puppies, she’s still working on her manners. She can be a little mouthy and tends to jump up, so she’ll need an owner who is committed to consistent training and redirection. Daisy will do better with all adults and children over 14 because of her puppy ways. She's also working on staying calm and not jumping, but she's a quick learner and eager to please! Though she’s still getting to know her foster brothers, Daisy is very social and seems to enjoy the company of other dogs. Since she’s just been spayed, her interactions with other dogs have been limited, but she's slowly being introduced to her foster siblings. She’s still learning leash manners, so she tends to pull, but with consistent training, she will improve. Daisy has a high energy level and a working drive, making her an excellent candidate for agility or other active pursuits. Daisy would thrive in a home where she can get lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, or engaging in agility training, she’s up for any activity that keeps her moving and learning. If you’re looking for a fun, enthusiastic companion who will keep you on your toes and make your heart melt, Daisy might just be the perfect fit for you! Daisy is UTD on vaccines, monthly preventatives, spayed and microchipped. She is fostered in York Haven, PA. Any perspective home will need to travel with all family members and dogs. Story
Meet Bailey...AKA Bae Bae ❤️ Bailey is a 2-3 year old Creme Golden Retriever. She came to us from a commercial breeder, after she was no longer needed. Bailey had a rough start to life and knew nothing except a small space and being a mom, that is until 2 months ago. She is now learning how to be a Dog and do real Dog things. Bailey has come a long way while in her foster home and is slowly learning how much she loves being pet and going for walks. Bailey will need a home with another dog for sure. She has loved having all her fur foster sisters and has been learning a lot from watching how they "dog". She will also need a home where someone is home more often than not. She has not been around kids, although her foster mom thinks she would love some human siblings. Children will need to be patient and understand that Bailey will need space and time to adjust to her new home. She would do best with a home that has a fence, however it is not necessary. Bailey enjoys her walks around the neighborhood and an active family to continue walks with her is a must. Most of all Bailey will need a family that will give her all the time that she needs to truly bloom into the dog, she was meant to be. Bailey has shown so much improvement already in the 2 months she has been in her foster home. She will need a family that is willing to continue to work with her on potty training. She is also not a fan of walking on hardwood floors. Her foster mom has used carpet runners around the house, until she gains more confidence. Bailey craves attention and will snuggle up super close on the couch to watch a movie whenever the time allows. She has been an absolute sweetheart and will be an amazing companion for the right family. She has been spayed, microchipped, up to date on shots and preventatives. Bailey is Lyme and Anaplasma positive, however she is showing no symptoms. Bailey is currently being fostered in Orwigsburg, PA and a meet and greet with all resident humans and fur siblings is required prior to adoption. Please apply on our website directly if you feel Bailey would be a Great addition to your family. www.zoeshouserescue.com She is waiting oh so patiently... Story
Meet Tracy and Stacy! Tracy and Stacy are 5 year old standard poodle/golden retriever mixes who were both saved from the same commercial breeding facility in Lancaster County. They were given up because they were no longer profitable as breeder mamas. The puppy mill used and abused Tracy and Stacy until they couldn’t anymore and then reached out to us to take them off their hands. It’s a story as old as time when it comes to puppy mills, but we will always be there to help our beloved mill mamas. They are very shy right now, but are slowly starting to give us their trust. We are confident they will make wonderful family members for any family who understands their past and gives them the time they needs to trust. These girls love one another, but are not required to go home together. They do need to go to homes with another dog in the house. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY. Puppy mill dogs tend to do best in a home without young children as well (10+), though this determination is made on a case by case basis. Our mill mamas are always extremely special, and we promise you there is no love out there that compares to theirs! Please apply to be considered at our website www.angelsretreat.org! 💕🐾 To learn more about our puppy mill survivor program please go to the following link (or find all our links and ways to donate in our bio): https://angelsretreat.org/special-programs-for-special-dogs/mill-mamas/
