Story
Sven wakes up happy every single day. He’s the kind of dog that always seems to be smiling, always ready for whatever comes next, and always excited to be part of things without becoming overwhelming or chaotic. Sven is a one-year-old mix breed who has the coat and face of a golden retriever and the compact build of a heeler. He has a great middle-ground personality that makes him easy to live with. When it’s time to play, go for a walk, or hang out with other dogs, he’s fully in. But once the excitement is over, he settles down nicely instead of endlessly bouncing off the walls. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and has a naturally social, easygoing personality that helps him fit into just about any environment. Sven has the fun energy people want in a young dog without the constant intensity that can make some high-energy breeds exhausting. Good fit: someone wanting a happy, social dog that enjoys activity but also knows how to relax and settle into daily life. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Colby is an approximately 2 1/2 year old male Goldendoodle in need of a new place to call home since his owner had to enter an assisted living facility. He weighs around 50-55 pounds. Colby is an energetic bouncy boy who tries hard to be good but who hasn’t had a ton of training basics. He truly would do best with a family that will be willing to take him to obedience classes and work with him on the finer points of good doggy etiquette. Let’s be honest, he’s a cross between essentially TWO sporting breeds. That makes for a very active (and very smart) fellow. He will need regular exercise via walks and fun doggy games in his fenced in backyard (we do require a fence for this boy as we fully believe it will bring him much joy and happiness). If you want a couch potato or a finished product, Colby isn’t quite fully cooked yet - but he is well on his way lacking only the right family to bring him to the finish line. Colby is mostly house trained, but did find himself alone for long periods of time as his owners extended family tried to find him a soft landing all while taking the best care of him that they could. He may need a little “House Training 101” refresher course, but should have no problem putting it all together quickly. We do not know if Colby was ever crate trained, but would absolutely recommend some training and games to get him acclimated to a crate in case he needs a safe and secure place to hang out while the rest of the family must be out and about. Colby walks tolerably well on the lead, he isn’t a strong or dedicated puller, but at times he can get a little strong and a bit twisty. With regular exercise and practice walking, we expect that to quickly vanish as you show him what is expected of him. To our knowledge, Colby has never been around cats. It is possible that he could learn to behave with a confident dog savvy kitty, but chasing is almost inevitable in the beginning, so is something to keep in mind. He seems at ease with and non reactive with other dogs of both sexes. A meet and greet will be absolutely recommended with any resident canines prior to placement. Dogs close to his activity level and size would probably be best. He has not been around many kids, but seems to do best with older ones only. 12 and up would be the sweet spot. Colby has a typical doodle coat and will need regular grooming with a professional groomer at least every 6 weeks or so, depending on how short he is kept. With c

Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
