I'm Ilbok, a fun-loving and affectionate boy who can't wait to find a family to share all my love with. I may be a little cautious at first, but once I trust you, I’ll show you just how sweet and friendly I can be! I adore people and am always excited to say hello. I’ll happily approach new faces and let you give me all the attention I crave. If you call me, I'll come running—I'm all about making connections! Although I’m friendly with humans, I do take a little time to warm up to other dogs. I can be a bit guarded initially, especially if another dog gets too close too fast, so it’s important to give me the space I need when meeting new pups. I’m just being cautious, but once I get to know you, I’m a great companion. I’ve got a heart full of potential and am ready to build friendships with the right dog pals. On My Walks Oh, how I love my walks! There’s nothing better than getting outside, feeling the breeze, and sniffing all the new scents in the world. I do like to pull on the leash a bit because I’m just so excited to explore! I’ll stop and sniff along the way, and if I see something exciting, I’ll want to check it out. But don’t worry, with a little training, I’ll get better at walking with you calmly by my side. I love the outdoors, and I promise we’ll have lots of fun together—whether it’s a stroll or a more energetic walk. Life At Home When I’m home, I’m the best companion you could ask for. I’m a curious boy who loves being around people, so I’ll probably follow you around, always wanting to know what’s going on. I’m very affectionate and enjoy being petted and loved. I’m also quite adaptable. I do my business indoor and outdoor. I might mark in new enviroment. I’m pretty well-behaved, and while I may show some excitement before meals or walks, I promise it’s just because I’m eager to have a good time with you. I don’t guard my food around people but with other dogs I am still learning. I’m still working on some manners, but I’m a fast learner and I know I’ll do great in a home that gives me the right guidance. My Ideal Home I’m looking for a loving, active family who will appreciate my playful energy and my affectionate nature. Here’s what I’d love in my forever home: Active Adventures: I’d love to be part of a family who enjoys outdoor activities. Whether it’s a long walk, a fun hike, or some playtime in the yard, I’m ready for action! *Note: Currently, Shiloh is in Korea, but she will arrive in Toronto on Jan 16 upon adoption. Background Shiloh is a beautiful girl who was rescued from a city pound in Buan, Korea last summer. After her rescue, she moved to our partner boarding house, where she has been living peacefully with other dogs. At the time of rescue, Shiloh was heartworm positive. She bravely completed her treatment and is now healthy, happy, and ready to find her forever home. Personality and Socialization Shiloh has a lovely Golden Retriever type personality. She is friendly, social, and very people oriented. She is comfortable with both men and women and enjoys being around people, getting attention, and snuggling close. She is not shy and warms up easily, making her a joy to be around. Shiloh has lived with many dogs and does best with friendly dogs who enjoy playtime. She loves running around and spending time outdoors, and she gets along well with dogs that have good manners and positive energy. Behaviour Shiloh is easygoing and well balanced. She enjoys playtime with dogs and people, but once she has had her fun, she is happy to lie down and relax nearby. She is not a big barker. She may bark a little when excited, such as at mealtime or when visitors arrive, but these are happy, short moments. She enjoys going for walks and loves outdoor time. She may pull a bit when she is excited, but overall she walks well on leash. Shiloh handles vet visits, baths, and car rides calmly and cooperatively. Health and Diet Shiloh has fully completed her heartworm treatment and is now healthy. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and vaccinated up to date. She has also completed dental scaling and receives monthly parasite preventatives. She eats dry food twice a day, is not a picky eater, and has shown no signs of food allergies. Ideal Home Shiloh loves being with her people and would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Having another friendly dog to play with would be wonderful, as she enjoys canine companionship. A calm, loving family with a relaxed lifestyle and plenty of time to spend together would be the perfect match for this gentle, affectionate girl. Story
Sheer is a 10-month-old handsome and gentle Golden Retriever mix. He was surrendered to a shelter by his owners when they could not longer care for him. Sheer has a beautiful golden coat and weighs approximately 70 pounds.   He is fully vetted including neutered, vaccinated, chipped, HW negative and has flea and tick protection.   Sheer is a lovable bouncy puppy who is eager to learn. He is housetrained and knows basic commands, sit and shake a paw and comes when called. He gets along with other dogs well and enjoys time outside exploring the backyard.   He sleeps in a crate at night. He tends to chew up soft toys so his new owners will need to monitor his access to items like this. When travelling in a car, a tether and a barrier are needed to keep him in the back seat or cargo area. Once on the road, he settles in and enjoys the ride.   Sheer is still learning some leash manners but will soon be enjoying walks around the neighbourhood. He is quiet in the house, and he does not react or bark at passersby through the window or at the dogs in the yard next door. When visiting our vet, he greeted all staff members in a friendly way and allowed his examination to proceed with no issues.   Because of his size he’d do best with dog savvy children over 10. Sheer’s intelligence and willing disposition would make him a natural in obedience training, agility or rally sports. His wish list for his forever home includes someone to supervise his activities, continue his training and give him all the pets and belly rubs he desires.January 14, 2026, 8:20 am
