Story
Clifford is a sweet and energetic dog who has been a cherished member of an elderly couple’s family for the past two years. Unfortunately, due to financial constraints, they are no longer able to care for him, and they are hoping to find a loving home where he can thrive. Clifford is a friendly, affectionate dog who loves nothing more than a good petting session and snuggles. His vet and groomers consistently praise his good nature. With plenty of energy to spare, he would thrive in a home with room to run and play. If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who will brighten your days with his playful spirit and affectionate nature, Clifford might just be the perfect match. He deserves a forever home where he can enjoy all the love and attention he deserves.

Story
Sophie and Russell are two Golden Retrievers who have survived the trauma of a house fire and are now looking for a forever home where they can stay together. They are deeply bonded and rely on each other for comfort, so it's essential they be adopted as a pair. Due to their traumatic experience, they have specific needs. They require a home with no other pets, as they thrive best when they have undivided attention from their humans. A solid 6ft fence is necessary, as they are high flight risks, and it's important that their yard is secure. Inside the home, Sophie and Russell prefer to have free roam of the space, or at least within designated limits, as they like to stay close to their humans. They are calm and spend most of their day sleeping, but they will follow you around for security. Given their past, Sophie and Russell need someone who is home most of the time. When left alone, they have been known to chew on doors or molding due to anxiety, so secure caging or keeping them in a safe room when unsupervised is crucial. Additionally, their adoptive home should have secure windows with solid shutters, as they are escape artists and could attempt to flee if they feel anxious or unsafe. The ideal adopter will understand the trauma  Sophie and Russell have experienced and be prepared to manage their behaviors, such as chewing or escaping, with patience and care. Though they may present some challenges, they are incredibly loving and loyal, seeking constant companionship from their humans. If given the right environment, they will bring comfort and gratitude to their new home. If you feel you can provide the safety and stability they need, please reach out to learn more about Sofie and Russell. To ensure a smooth process, please submit a completed application through our website at: http://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. Please note that questions via email or social media channels may not receive a response without a completed application. As part of our commitment to responsible adoption practices, we require excellent veterinarian references and conduct virtual home visits. Story
Savannah was born on May 29, 2020 she came into our family when she was 8 weeks old, purchase her from yuppy puppy in East Stroudsburg, PA. She is well taken care of and well loved. We moved from PA to Greensboro, NC 3 months ago into a home twice as small and no fenced in yard. She loves her outside time!!!!! She loves people and other pets. Especially people: she prefers adults but is okay with children. She would do better with older children 5 years and up, she loves to be loved and hugged, belly rubs and kisses. She loves hiking, swimming and just laying at your feet. I do not own my property and it is not fenced in. She would do great at a home with a secure fence and maybe a furry playmate. Any questions about her you can contact me. I can write forever about her. She is a happy active dog. High energy.
