Story
Houston is a 2 year old (will be 3 in January 2025) AKC Golden Retriever who is a total love bug. He is the most cuddly Golden we've ever had. Houston is always happy and is really the sweetest boy. Playful and active but with a great off switch. Houston gets along with most dogs but did have a confrontation with a male dog in the past so I have limited his exposure since. He does mark in the house sometimes but my hope is this will be rectified once he is neutered- neutering will be required by any potential adopter. We need to rehome Houston as he is NOT safe around poultry. He is a retriever through and through and will chase & carry around ducks and chickens to their demise. He would probably do great in hunting/sports if his potential adopter participates in these activities. Crate trained and up to date on vaccinations. Both parents were DNA cleared for common conditions of the breee. Microchipped. Weighs approximately 55 pounds. Available now.

Story
My name is Milo Magoo and I am a 3 year old Golden Doodle with a birthday that is coming in the next few days… to turn 3 yrs. old.  I weigh 80 pounds and I am looking for an attentive and dog training family that will really shape and polish me to be the spectacular dog that I have the potential to be.  My current family really has no time to work with me to shape me in to a dog with great manners and emotional control.   I am bored in this home and I need physical and mental stimulation and fun challenges to do.  I am very happy, sweet, and very active with running and playing.  I am a male that is ALL BOY and if I had my wish I would say to adopt me if you have a girl dog in the family.   I would love to have a girlfriend for life!  When I am bored my favorite, yet dangerous, thing to do is eat socks.  So please watch that if you take me home.  It is totally out of boredom.   Critter Cavalry Rescue is tryng to change all this by placing me in the right home that they will review closely.   I am a silver tawny coloring and people just ohhhhh and ahhhhh over the color of my coat of  hair.  If you would like to adopt me please email right away at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Mention in the email where you live!!!   That helps so much too.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Morri is an incredible dog, smart, sweet, and full of personality! We welcomed her into our lives in January 2024 after adopting her from a farm in South Carolina, and she's been cherished ever since. Nearly a year old now, she is brimming with energy, always ready to play, and eager for new adventures. Her mother was a German Shepherd, and her father was a Golden Retriever. Morri is a high-drive, working-mentality dog who thrives with structure and activity. She's fully potty trained, house trained, and crate trained, and has mastered an impressive range of commands. We have invested a lot of time and care into her training, and she truly shines. Sadly, due to increasing work tempo and travel, we're facing the difficult decision to rehome her. Morri needs a loving, active owner/family who can match her energy and dedication to her training. Her ideal home would be with someone committed to giving her a fulfilling healthy life, rich with activity and love.

Story
Meet George! George is also known as: - Gentleman George - Georgie Porgie, pudding & pie - Mr. Perfect Because, well, he's pretty perfect. George is a laid-back, quiet, friendly, distinguished gentleman. He's totally housetrained, loves all people (but is not jumpy or pushy about getting attention), and is basically polite in every way. He's easy to walk, gentle taking treats, good for the vet, and totally non-destructive when left home alone. You really couldn't ask for a better dog. Come meet our adoptable dogs on Saturdays from 11am to 1pm in the backyard at AARF's new location- 302 Thurston St, W-S. Go to AARFWS.org to view and apply for our AARF dogs. Information about the process is available on our website. Remember that we do not adopt more than a 45-minute radius from our facility in Winston Salem. George is an absolutely perfect office companion. His foster mom works from home, and George keeps her company all day, quietly resting in his dog bed. He just needs love, booty scratches, good food, and a short daily walk to keep him happy. George lives harmoniously with other dogs who are calm and polite like him. He would not appreciate rambunctious roommates. George also lives with older kids, and he's wonderful with them. George would make a wonderful companion for seniors, less active families, or anyone who wants a quiet and loving friend.
