Story
Meet Loving Levi, an affectionate  3-year-old, 55-pound Goldendoodle with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! Levi is searching for a forever home with a fenced yard and a playful dog companion companion or two. Full of life, love, and loyalty—the three “L’s” that inspired his name—this charming boy will be your loyal, fun-loving friend. Levi thrives on companionship and will happily be your “Velcro dog,” always close by. He adores humans and other animals alike, and while he’s not a fan of being left alone for long, he’s calm and content in his foster home, spending time with his furry friends when his foster mom is away. When she’s home, Levi loves curling up by her feet as she works, and he’ll always greet you with enthusiasm and kisses, making you feel truly appreciated! With his soft poodle coat and an adorable white patch on his forehead (perfect for giving kisses!), Levi is as sweet as he is handsome. Although he currently doesn’t live with kids, Levi is always gentle and polite around them, making him a wonderful addition to any family. He’s well-mannered in his foster home, uses the doggie door to go outside, and gets along well with cats. Car rides and walks are some of his favorite activities, and he’s ready to join you on every adventure. Levi is a healthy boy—neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and microchipped. He’s just waiting for a family to share his endless love and loyalty. Critter Cavalry Animal Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) dedicated to saving high-risk animals like Levi. As part of our mission, we travel to the Northeast weekly, bringing pets like Levi closer to their forever families. For more about our drop-off points and times, visit www.CritterCavalry.com. To adopt Levi, contact us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. Levi is ready to bring love and joy to his new family—could it be yours? Story
Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home.  Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion. A note to those looking at CPR.  We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone.  Our job is to find those someone's.  Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog.  They come to us because they want to give a dog a home.  We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture.  While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face.  Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home.  We want to create furever families.  Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today.  We'll update as more information is known.  Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days?  If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application.  You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side.  You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.  Just browsing but interested in poodles and poodle mixes?  Please drop a note to applications@carolinapoodlerescue.org with your name, address and phone # and email.  We'll add you to our mailing list. thanks the CPR Adoption team   Date into Rescue: 1/21/25 Reason for being in rescue: Breeder release Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Merry Goldie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Merry Goldie is not hypoallergenic and does shed.  Weight: 67 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: No. Merry Goldie will be spayed on 2/18/25. We are accepting applications to adopt now. Adoption Fee: $599 Fence needed? Yes, Merry Goldie requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Merry will  thrive in a home where she can receive plenty of one-on-one attention and gentle training. Ideally, her new owner will be someone who is home most or all of the day, as Merry is still adjusting to life outside the breeder's care. With her own loving family, she’ll become the happy, confident dog she was always meant to be. Merry could fit into a variety of home situations, whether she’s adopted by a single person, a couple, or a family. However, because of her shyness and sensitivity to new experiences, a family with older children (12+) who can be respectful of her quiet nature would be the best fit. Merry has never known life without canine companions. She requires a home with another large, confident dog for behavioral modeling and socialization.  Merry is patiently waiting for the special person who will give her the love, care, and commitment she deserves. If you have a heart full of patience and a home that can offer her the time and space to grow, Merry is ready to meet you! What is my personality like?  Meet Merry, a beautiful Golden Retriever that is ready to blossom into your lifelong companion. After retiring from a breeder, Merry is ready to experience life as a cherished pet. She’s still discovering the world and learning that people can be kind, but she’ll thrive in the right environment with the right person. Merry is new to many aspects of life outside of her previous experiences, so she’s a little shy and reserved when meeting new people. It will take some time for her to build trust, but she has so much potential to become a loving companion once she feels safe and secure. Because of her past, Merry needs an adopter who has the time, patience, and understanding to help her adjust to her new life. Merry is already walking on a leash but will need some help adjusting to outdoor walks, as many things can startle her. She’s also still working on learning basic commands, but this will come with time and patience.  Merry is a reserved and cautious girl who’s still adjusting to the world around her.  How do I act when I first meet new people?  When meeting new people, Merry is shy and reserved. While she may not actively seek out affection just yet, she does welcome gentle pets and kindness—she’s just waiting for someone to show her the way. Other tips and tidbits: Merry’s birthday is 5/20/2017. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Please note - we do not ship dogs.  If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip.  Most of our dogs are at our farm in Pacolet, South Carolina.   To apply, please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and visit the tab on the left that directions you to the online application. Please note that when screening applications, we look at the entire home and then make suggestions based on what would be a good fit for your home.   You are not being screened for a specific dog although we are looking to see what type of dog interests you - poodles or non poodles, color, age, etc.  Others here may be a better fit for you.  It is very difficult to get to know a living animal from a picture and a short description.  Since we are constantly getting in new dogs, this may be a  dog not in our listings yet.  We want you to be very happy with your new companion and will make suggestions based on what you tell us about you. Thank you for considering CPR. February 12, 2025, 6:57 pm

Story
Turbo is a big dog with a bigger personality. Turbo likes his life a certain way, which is mainly a ball to play with, a person to be with, and a nice bed to lay on. He is tolerant of other dogs, and can definitely go to a house with the right fur siblings, but he is more interested in living the calm life. His size really doesn’t match his temperament, as he is one of the calmest dogs at the shelter. It won’t take him long to catch on to your home routine, and once he has it down, your day to day life with Turbo should be very easy. He prefers calmer dogs around his size, and no small kids or animals. He is a dog that won’t change your lifestyle very much once you take him home!
