Story
Sweet, goofy Maggie Mae wants to play play play!  She gets her long snout from her poodle mom and her goofiness from her shepherd dad. Without a doubt she has lots of love to give and energy to burn! At 6 months old, she is still learning lots of things and her new family needs patience as they continue her training. She loves other dogs, and another playful dog in the home would help her adapt. In her previous home, she was house and crate trained. Her adoption fee is 400 dollars. Maggie is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and started on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Apply today to adopt!  All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC. December 20, 2024, 1:56 am

Story
Harvest is a brave and gentle puppy with lots of love to give! She is an incredibly affectionate dog who is also very athletic, friendly, and loyal. She loves giving hugs, getting affection, and is also very curious and playful. Harvest is good with other dogs and great with children. She loves food, but also loves learning new things and being active. Harvest has already mastered her 'sit' and 'down' commands! She's a funny and dignified girl who will bring lots of love and joy to her new forever home. She will go home on a foster-to-adopt agreement until spayed, as well as with her age appropriate vaccines and microchip. If you're looking for a smart, gentle, and playful baby this holiday season, Harvest is the one for you! Full Disclaimer: We are told that her momma is part Bulldog (WHAT!?) and have no idea if this sweet girl truly is part Golden Retriever, but she sure does have the coloring and longer gorgeous coat for it! All we know is that she is 100% the perfect pup! Ready to fall in love? Story
Turbo is a big dog with a bigger personality. Turbo likes his live a certain way, which is mainly a ball to play with, a person to be with, and a nice bed to lay on. He is tolerant of other dogs, and can definitely go to a house with the right fur siblings, but he is more interested in living the calm life. His size really doesn’t match his temperament, as he is one of the calmest dogs at the shelter. It won’t take him long to catch on to your home routine, and once he has it down, your day to day life with Turbo should be very easy. He prefers calmer dogs around his size, and no small kids or animals. He is a dog that won’t change your lifestyle very much once you take him home!

Story
Hey! My name is Penny and I am looking for my forever home. My friends at the shelter describe me as calm and loving. After a short walk I am content to hop up on my bench and take a nice, long nap. I take treats gently and am very easy to leash up. For some reason I do not like cats and would need to go to a home without cats. Some dogs are ok with me but others I don`t like as much. It is hard to say if I will like my protentional dog sibling or not, but don`t worry, you can bring them by the shelter and I can decide for myself when I meet them. A more calm dog with a soft approach seems to be more up my alley. I have a lot of love to give and just want the right family to give it to!

Story
Hello! I’m Saint, a Retriever mixed breed dog. I have been described as friendly, loving, protective, adventurous, and doting. Some of my favorite things to do are bury treats and mark my territory on walks. I’m not a huge fan of toys or treats, but I love playing with people! I know the commands sit and leave it. I would like to learn more commands too! My ideal home would have dogs that are on the more gentle and dainty side because I`m just learning how to play. I`m a little shy when it comes to meeting news dogs, but I warm up quickly. I would love to go on a couple walks or runs a day too! I look forward to meeting you soon!
