Story
Mila is a sweet, loving, and playful puppy who is about 6 months old. She is a Golden Retriever and German Shepherd mix, so she’s very smart, energetic, and eager to learn. She loves cuddling, playing with toys, and being around her people. Like most puppies her age, she is still learning boundaries, potty training, and how to manage her excitement. She would do best in a home with someone who has the time, patience, and experience to continue her training and provide structure. Due to her energy level and current training stage, she would be best in a home with a big nice yard. This decision has not been easy, but I want to make sure she goes to a home where she can thrive and receive the attention and guidance she needs.

Story
Chase has learned to live with our cat & I've seen him play well with small dogs. He does have medium/big dog fear aggression. I asked previous owner if he had been bitten by another dog or a wild animal, they said no. He has been a part of our family for 3.5 years & isn't as reactive with other dogs as he used to be. That's to say, if he is a good distance he doesn't growl and lunge as much. Chase needs an experienced adopter with plenty of room to roam in his own private yard without medium/big dogs nearby. I have talked with a couple of trainers & they think it's likely he can be trained out of his fear aggression. This would be from a knowledgeable owner or trained professional. He loves people & attention. I would caution that he isn't in a home with small children just because he hasn't lived with young children in our home or with original owner. He really is very sweet like Golden Retrievers are known for, he just has some special needs.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Renee (renees@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.    Laila is a happy, smart, active, gentle and loving girl. She is house trained and will kennel but she has not been destructive when left alone for 4 to 6 hours. She is engaged and minds her own business on walks. Laila also loves being around kids. When Laila gets excited with joy she sneezes and wags her tail. She has a powerful lab tail that is often wagging with joy. Laila loves baths, cuddles, playing fetch, going on walks, car rides and playing outside with her toys. Laila knows many commands and is eager to please. She understands “no” if you don’t want her on the bed or couch and will happily settle on a dog bed near you. She is quiet but will protect the house and let you know if someone is coming to the door. Laila came to TARA when her human surrendered Laila due to health reasons and wanted the best for her before the human’s situation became critical. Laila is settling into a foster home with humans of all ages and getting lots of love and attention during this transition. Laila acts much younger than her age and would love a family that is active and wants to include her in all adventures. Approximate Birthdate:  2/21/2016 Adoption Fee: $200 TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a TWO WEEK TRIAL. Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines:  Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg) X-Large 101 lbs (46 kg) or more For more information please fill out an application.   CONTACT INFO The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) Web site: tarasdream.org Adoption Information & Applications: https://tarasdream.org/adopt Upcoming Adoption Events: https://tarasdream.org/events Email: email@tarasdream.org May 14, 2026, 2:21 pm

Story
Pony Girl (so named for the Stay Golden Ponyboy line from The Outsiders) has had a very tough life so far. We thought things were improving. She's gained so much of her coat back, her infection was gone, she was playing and happy. She went to an amazing foster family and was doing great. Then the news all changed. She was diagnosed with cancer. Not a treatable cancer. She's on medication to make whatever time she has left happy and her foster family is dedicated to ensuring her last weeks/months will be full of happiness. If you want to meet or visit with her to show her some love please reach out to us. She loves car rides and does love people. She can be a little wary/shy at first, but does warm up to new people. She's been through so much in her life :( At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters. If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents. We list them on our sites because they still matter and they still need donations to help with their long term care.Check out our website for more information: http://www.autumnacres.org

Story
Alexa is a very caring and loving 3 year old dog. I got her from KC Pet Project when she was 6 weeks old. She enjoys family, outdoors, walks, and playing. She loves being active with everyone in the family. One thing she loves is her paws massaged, and to lay right beside you.
