Meet Truffles! Truffles is an adorable & exuberant 7 month old puppy with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. She has a genetic condition that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Hi I'm  Candycorn !  I'm a beautiful lady who came into rescue with some secret cargo in my tummy.  I was a good mama and raised my babies and sent them all on to new homes.  Now it's my turn!  With new people and in new places I'll admit I get nervous and I either find a safe corner to hide in or I'll possibly bark.  At home with my foster mama where I'm familiar with things I'm a completely different dog.  I have the bestest happy smile, my tail doesn't stop wagging and I get the cutest dance and zoomies.  I gently jump against my fosters mamas leg so she can give me hugs and kisses.  Sometimes I kiss back!  When she stops I gently put my paw on her arm so she knows I want more.  I also love when she gives me chin and cheek scratches and I should probably mention tummy rubs are great too.     I get along great with all dogs and like to chase and wrestle when they're my friends.  I would do best having a doggie sibling in my new home so they can help me learn the routine in my new home and help me be more confident.     At home I am learning to walk on leash.  It's going great since I trust my foster mom.  It's fun jumping around in the grass and feeling the sun shine down on my face and the wind in my fur.  I haven't pottied on leash yet for her, but I do know that I should do all my business a fenced area so I do request one in my home.   I am kennel trained and I never potty in it.  I'm too smart for that!  I'm usually quiet in it too.  I know it's a safe spot when I need it too, though I prefer to be out hanging around my mom's feet instead.  When she's working I'm usually laying under her desk close to her in case she needs me.  You get treats there and pets haha!   I really like toys!  The soft ones are my favorite to chew on. I never had toys before rescue. I don't always like to share them, but I've learned mom will trade me for them and she'll gently play tug of war with me.     I haven't met any kids yet, but I think I'd be ok with older respectful kids who would be kind and gentle with me.  Fast movement and loud noises are overwhelming and I don't want to get scared and have to run and hide.  A quiet home where I can be a spoiled princess would be awesome.     Come and meet me and I promise you'll find that with a little time to learn that I'm safe and can trust you with my heart that you'll find a loving and loyal family member in me that will love you unconditionally! Welcome to Hank from CCPAL foster program. He is a 3.5 to 4 year old Golden Retreiver/Shepherd dog. He is very smart and affectionate. He has upright ears. He does not jump up, good on a leash, good in a car, knows sit command, potty trained and good with other dogs and kids. He would be a great pet for a family. He lives in a house with other dogs and does great. He also lives with cats. He is currently in foster care until we find his forever home. He weighs about 36 pounds and is a medium sized dog. He could easily go in a home with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is super friendly to all people including strangers. He could be adopted locally in Texas, which is where he is right now or we could work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Welcome Shaggy to CCPAL Rescue. Shaggy is a Golden Retriever/Dachshund or Corgi mixed dog. This is our best guess. He weighs about 15 pounds and has the look of a miniature Golden Retriever. His coat looks very much like and feels like a Golden. He is the most outgoing and social of the 3 that came from the home of the bad human. He initial human sexually abused these dogs. We are working on getting them on a good routine and schedules with lots of wonderful attention and assurance that humans are mostly good people. As you can see from the video, this dog is extremely loving and trusting. He has an incredibly soft coat. A good samaratin got them out of the previous place and sought out CCPAL for help. These dogs are not fully potty trained. He is decent on a leash and we are working on crate training and potty pad work. He is good with other dogs and will be neutered soon and looking for his forever home. He would be fine in a home with children due to his sweet nature. We like children to be 8 or older. He would make a nice walking companion for a retired person. He would also be fine in a setting like Starbucks. He is very friendly with all people, including strangers. He has already started his vaccinations and will be ready for his loving forever home soon. This dog will get lots of applications due to his breed, nature and looks. Meet Stormy, a nearly 9-year-old retriever mix with a heart full of love and a personality that’s impossible to resist. While he may not be the typical ball-chasing retriever, Stormy excels in the art of relaxation, preferring short walks, long naps, and hours of sunbathing in the yard. His calm demeanor and food-motivated nature make him an easy companion for someone seeking a low-maintenance, laid-back friend. Though his retriever instincts may not apply to toys, they come to life when treats are involved—he listens well and responds beautifully to reward-based training. Stormy does come with a few manageable quirks, such as his allergies (corn being one of them), which are kept in check with daily Benadryl and occasional Apoquel. He gets a little anxious around delivery trucks or the front door but has made great progress in training and responds well to commands like “quiet,” especially when treats are involved. Hi! My name is Kate, and I am from Alabama. From her foster: Kate is a sweet, mellow, good-natured puppy who gets along with people and dogs. Overall she's happy to be wherever her people are, whether it's going for walks, having training sessions, playing with toys, or chilling next to you at your local brewery. In the few weeks that we've fostered her, Kate's grown in comfort and confidence. She's on the shy side - when we had friends over, she kept her distance and watched them from the next room over - but has responded well to socialization. She's polite and friendly when she meets strangers out in the world, happy to be pet and accept treats. She also gets along well with other dogs. She does a lot of play-bowing and face-licking when meeting new dogs, and generally seems friendly and eager to play! Kate's a really well-behaved puppy. She's done well with house training (hasn't had any accidents, and has started going to the back door when she wants to be let outside) and does well with basic commands. She's got great recall! She's treat-motivated and biddable, so I think she'll be fun for someone who enjoys teaching her tricks. Overall, I think Kate's sweet, laidback nature would lead her to do well in most homes. Because she's a little shy, she might benefit from having an owner who is excited to introduce her to new things and take her to new spots, but other than that I think she'd fit in well with a variety of households.

Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato.
