Story
Odin is being fostered in East TN, no worries though out of state welcomed! If you are seeing this on Adopt a Pet his adoption feed includes his cost of transport to your area! We use Rescue Riders for all our pet transport needs because they are so wonderful to our babies! Meet Odin! This handsome lad is a snuggler like nobody’s business. He loves the water loves to swim. He is sweet to everyone people and dogs alike. He is potty trained and is going through crate training. He hates to be crated but he does have a bit of anxiety when left alone so he needs to be crated for his safety to prevent him from being destructive. He craves human attention and is a Velcro dog. He is active and the more exercise he gets the less stress and anxious he is when he is left alone. The old saying a tired dog is a good dog stands true for this boy. Mental and physical stimulation will be best for him. He has a great recall once he knows you. Let kids over he age if 6-7 would be best for him. He’s about 14-15 months old and appears to be an e flush cream golden retriever mixed with a low rider like a basset. He’s short but long. He’s adorable. Please apply at petpath.org

Story
Name: MadonnaGender: FemaleDate of Birth: 6/26/2024Breed: Mixed breed (Mom is Golden Retriever, Great Pyrenees and Poodle. Dad is Boxer and American Bulldog)Number of Siblings: 8 This "accidental" litter of puppies was surrendered after the owners became overwhelmed. It was the first and last litter as mom and dad have since been sterilized.  Temperament: Each puppy has their own unique personality, which is just starting to be revealed. They are all learning the world around them. They have been socialized with other dogs, cats and children, making them well rounded family members. Training: These puppies have not yet begun leash training. They will each need a patient family with experience house training. Puppies are prone to chewing and will need a watchful eye to ensure that nothing is accidentally ingested or destroyed. Puppies need someone home more often than not initially for house training and socialization. They are looking for active families and plenty of positive reinforcement. Adopters should be prepared for sleepless nights during crate training. Tethering is not an ideal method for containment, and they are expected to grow to be large dogs as adults so they will not be a good fit for an apartment or mobile home community.  Madonna can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until her spay surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clinton Twp, Sterling Heights, Madison Heights or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable.
