Story
We received Sam from some friends of ours when he was a puppy, they were looking to adopt out multiple puppies and I thought it would be a good idea to take one in. He is now 3 years old. I want him to go to a home where he will receive more attention and the care that he needs. Me and my wife both have busy schedules and also have 3 small children. Sam is a good dog, he is loving and caring, and just wants to play as he is still young.

Story
Passion Fruit (affectionately called Mango by her foster family) is a sweet, affectionate girl who thrives on cuddles. Although she's an anxious girl, she quickly bonded with me and learned to trust! She's looking for a loving, patient family willing to give her the time she needs to adjust. Passion Fruit is a perfect cuddle buddy on the couch. This smart girl loves learning new tricks and is already doing well on a leash and enjoying her outdoor sniffing adventures. Once she recovers from heartworm, she'll be eager to go on more walks and play outside. Her last heartworm treatment is scheduled for 11/6/24, and until then, she's on limited activity but coping well with the help of anxiety meds. If you're interested in adopting her, the heartworm treatment is covered by HSHV. She's an incredible dog who will make a loving, lifelong companion!**Passion Fruit has heartworm which means that this dog has parasitic worms in the right ventricle of the heart and nearby blood vessels. Heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes and can be easily prevented using monthly heartworm preventative, but once the disease is contracted the treatment process can be quite intensive. Passion Fruit will need to remain sedentary with minimal activity during the treatment process to ensure a healthy recovery. There is additional information on heartworm disease and treatment available at our Adoption Desk. **Passion Fruit is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today!

Story
I was born 10/28/23. I am a very shy boy so I will need a lot of time to decompress you see I was not socialized until I was 10 months old when my foster parents picked me up. I am now getting comfortable in a home and I am 96% potty trained. I love my dog brothers and sister in my foster home. I MUST HAVE A FULLY FENCED IN YARD AND NO ELECTRONIC FENCES. I would do better in a calmer home with older children.
