Location: Manchester, MD Hi, I'm Sadie, a 4-year-old golden retriever mix ready to bring joy into your home! 🐕 I'm a beautiful golden girl at 85 pounds (I desperately need to lose a couple) with a friendly spirit — I get along wonderfully with other dogs, kids, and cats so a multi-pet household is totally my style. My adoption fee is $375. Come meet me and let's start our adventure together! ✨

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out our dog adoption questionnaire and e-mail any questions to: joshuahtrescue@gmail.com ADOPTION FEE: $475. This fee INCLUDES spay/neuter and microchip. **Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts! PLEASE VISIT THIS WEBSITE TO FIND THE ADOPTION QUESTIONNAIRE: http://www.homewardtrails.org/adopt-a-pet/adoption-forms/ AGE: Approaching 3 years ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 55 pounds KNOWN WITH DOGS: Snowy needs to be an only dog. He is not a fan of other dogs. KNOWN WITH CATS: Unknown. He seems curious about them. KNOWN WITH KIDS: Snowy is good with kids. KNOWN CUES: Sit, Paw, Wait. KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING &/OR CRATING: he is ok with a crate and is house trained, KNOWN LIKES: Exploring, walking, sniffing, stuffed toys and most of all belly rubs. KNOWN DISLIKES: Not a fan of other dogs with positive reinforcement he is improving SNOWY IS SEEKING A LIFELONG SNUGGLE PARTNER: Occupation: Full-time Cuddle Specialist Interests: Hugs, belly rubs, snacks, showing off his toys Snowy is the kind of dog who believes snuggling should be considered a competitive sport — and he’s going for gold. His signature move is the classic full-body lean, where he melts into you like warm butter on toast. He gives big, honest hugs and expects nothing more in return than a few scratches and maybe a compliment. When Snowy’s happy (which is often), he proudly parades around with a toy in his mouth, his whole backside wiggling like it has its own opinion. It’s nearly impossible not to grin when he does it. His Strengths: * Excellent house manners: house-trained, crate-trained, quiet, polite * Smart, food-motivated, knows a number of commands * Loves kids and is great in the car *Charming and unintentionally hilarious just by being himself His Hobbies: * Cuddling on any available human * Sunbathing * Enjoying enrichment games *Trotting around with toys * Greeting visitors like they’re there specifically to admire him Areas He’s Working On: Snowy is learning to walk past other dogs calmly. With treats and practice, he’s doing well. He prefers being the only pet — easier to keep all the attention that way. Ideal Match: Someone who enjoys a silly, snuggly dog with good manners and a big heart. He’ll do best in a suburban setting where dogs aren’t constantly popping up to say hello. If you want a cheerful, affectionate, goofy companion who gives world-class hugs and makes every day better, Snowy would love to meet you. Ready to meet your new best friend? Snowy is waiting! Story
Zoey's previous foster shared that she is a loving golden retriever. She is very affectionate once she gets to know you. Zoey is always happy to sit and sleep right at your feet while you are home. She is house trained and if left alone will tirelessly look out the window waiting for your return. She walks well, but has a small prey drive. Someone has to keep those nosy squirrels from interrupting her owner's walk. She's always up to play games. You will know when she wants to play as she'll bring her tug-o-war rope to your chair or drop tennis balls on your lap for some quality fetch time. She is a bit of an alpha dog and plays well with some dogs but not others. With that being the case, we think she would do better as a solo dog in the home or a slow controlled introduction if there are other pets. Please let us know if you would like to meet Zoey A! Story
-ESTIMATE WEIGHT FULL GROWN: 35 lbs -ESTIMATED AGE: 1 year -KNOWN WITH DOGS: Johnny has done well with dogs at the HT Farm -KNOWN WITH CATS: Johnny would do best with no cats in the home -KNOWN WITH KIDS: Unknown -KNOWN CUES: Sit and learning more -KNOWN HOUSEBREAKING AND/OR CRATING: Johnny has done well at the HT Farm -KNOWN LIKES: Affection, Food -KNOWN DISLIKES: None ABOUT THIS ANIMAL: Johnny is a newer friend to the HT farm, he has settled in very well and is starting to understand his new (unfortunate) situation. He LOVE to snuggle, our staff simply sits in the field with him and he happily curls up in your lap. He gives gentle kisses and even walks pretty well on a leash for his age and background! He is so kind and we think he would do wonderfully in most any home. Like many young pups, he’s going through an awkward teenage phase—sometimes that means a little extra enthusiasm or goofy behavior when he’s excited or unsure. With patience and a bit of guidance, he’s already showing he can learn and grow. Johnny doesn’t need perfection—just someone willing to give him a chance. A little love, a little patience, and he’ll give you his whole heart in return. He’s ready to leave the kennel behind and finally feel at home!
