Story
Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes! Leash trained Loves kids, but likely too boisterous for little ones Needs extra care at meal time Local adoption fee is$200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Hi, I’m Skipper — 8 years young, expert toy transporter, and professional good boy. I’m a big fan of people. Like, really big fan. If you’re around, I’m happy. If you’re not around, I’m probably looking for you. I love being near my humans, sharing space, and being part of whatever you’re doing — even if it’s just sitting on the couch doing absolutely nothing together.I’ve still got a playful side — I enjoy a good game, a little excitement, and some fun interaction — but I’m also just as happy to snuggle up and relax. After playtime, I have zero problem switching into full couch potato mode. In fact, I’m pretty great at it.Most of all, I’m loyal. Like, stick-with-you-through-everything loyal. I want to be your shadow, your sidekick, and your steady companion through it all.If you’re looking for a dog who brings joy, heart, and a perfect balance of fun and chill, I think we’d get along just fine.Check out some videos of me here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qJ6N59cJCc&list=PL5pMvf_kylrfitSMVQVlu-FxxR20cpzgDInterested in adopting me? I am in a foster home so things need to be done a little differently. We recommend submitting a general online adoption application and then calling the shelter to let them know you are interested in meeting me! *Please note: all applications are considered GENERAL until the animal has been met. Story
Wallace is a 10-year-old Golden Retriever mix, a bit smaller than the purebred Goldens many people are familiar with. We adopted him three years ago from a home in West Virginia. At that time, he had been on anxiety medication and was surrendered due to concerns about his comfort around a soon-to-arrive baby. When Wallace first joined our family, he was a little nervous and unsure about affection. With time, patience, and a stable environment, he has truly come out of his shell. Today, he has grown into a sweet companion who will happily come over to ask for pets and enjoy being close to his people.Wallace can be vocal at times and will bark, especially when he sees another dog on the street. He doesn’t do well in high-energy environments like dog parks, and for that reason we’ve avoided them. However, he has had positive interactions with other Golden Retrievers and a few carefully selected dogs, showing that with the right match and introductions, he can enjoy canine company.

Story
Lucky is a wonderful dog who joined our family in 2020 after adopting him from a shelter at 3.5 years old. He's very friendly with both people he knows and strangers, and loves being petted, getting belly rubs, and spending time outside. Lucky's energy is pretty low, but he can get very energetic for short periods when playing with our other dog. He's house-trained and knows basic commands.Lucky gets along well with our other dog, but can be reactive when encountering unknown dogs on walks. He walks well on a leash except when he sees another dog, which causes him to pull strongly toward them. However, he has never fought or bitten another dog. A home with a fenced backyard would greatly help make his daily exercise easier and leash walks more manageable!I recently moved from a house to an apartment and, as I've gotten older, managing him on walks has become physically difficult for me. Lucky is a sweet, loving dog who deserves a great home where he can continue to live a happy life.

Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
