Story
Meet Sunny short for Sunflower. She is believed to be a bloodhound shepherd mix possibly retriever. a year old at most. Sunny was pulled from a local shelter Christmas of 2021 after a hoarding abandonment case of 27 plus fearful feral dogs left behind in a property. The home was condemned, disgusting filthy. A home in such condition, no animal or human should have to live in. Sunny and 3 others call the sanctuary home for the time being, all are doing amazing with their rehab, learning what life as a loved pet should be. Sunny struggles to settle in and takes more time then the others. She is the one that stresses easily when meeting new people but with a playful active dog mentoring her she does so much better. She slowly warms up some when it comes to people, still unsure if she wants human affection at first but will always take a treat, moves in for petting, willing to snuggle and even cuddle. Sunny loves all the dogs, is good with cats and small critters too. A 100% secured fenced in yard is a must, A home with other pets is required. At least 1 other balance playful, outgoing dog for her to follow/gravitate toward. Sunny has an amazing personality she herself is still learning about who she is. Always best to approach her slow at first. Sunny needs a lot of confidence still, and that requires a lot of patience with no set time frame and expectations ever. Allow her to live life 1 day at a time. Sunny walks amazing on leash, barks very little but barks. is very playful, loves treats, and eventually settles in. Sunny is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, de-wormed, fecal tested negative, micro-chipped, neutered, and on monthly heart-worm flea/tick prevention. Story
Layla is a very pretty Goldendoodle who came to Misty Eyes from a puppy mill, where she was a breeding machine. She is somewhat shy and anxious at first, and is absolutely terrified of wearing a collar and leash. Despite her fear and anxiety, Layla is good natured and friendly, once she relaxes. She gets along with other dogs and enjoys back scratches and ear rubs. Layla will need additional training to overcome her fear of being leash-walked and to understand what living indoors as a family dog is all about. Because of her anxiety, Layla is a flight risk, so will need to be treated with extra caution until she feels comfortable in her new life. Due to her extreme anxiety and inclination to flee, Layla will need a securely fenced yard and an adopter who can commit to working with her to overcome her fear. She may never be a very social dog, but can be a great companion to her immediate family. If you have the patience and willingness to help Layla achieve her potential, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.

Story
Meet Parker, a happy-go-lucky Goldendoodle puppy with a friendly spirit and plenty of energy to share! This lovable boy came to Misty Eyes after being found as a stray, and now he’s ready to find a forever home where he can truly thrive. Parker gets along well with other dogs and seems to enjoy meeting new people—he’s the kind of pup who brings joy wherever he goes. Like many young dogs, he’s still learning his manners, so he may be a bit too exuberant for small children at this stage. This active pup will do best in a home that can provide both physical exercise and mental stimulation to help him grow into the amazing companion he’s meant to be. With a little training and a lot of love, Parker is sure to blossom into a loyal and fun-loving best friend. Story
Meet Gucci, a fun-loving, playful and friendly Golden Doodle who wants to join your family. He started life as a puppy mill breeding dog and has come to Misty Eyes to find a forever family. He`s a happy, outgoing boy who arrived in absolutely deplorable condition. He was so filthy and badly matted that he required a sedated groom to get him cleaned up. Now he`s handsome and stylish, as Gucci should be. With a puppy mill background Gucci will need an adopter who is willing to help him learn and develop the manners of a family dog. He seems to like everyone, but can be selective with other dogs. If you have the patience and tolerance to work with one of these special dogs, please submit an adoption application online at https://www.mistyeyes.org/adoptionapplication.
