Named after the all-seeing giant of Greek mythology, Argus truly lives up to his name, meaning “bright” or “shining.” With his stunning light-blue eyes that seem to hold the wisdom of the gods and his beautiful light-brown coat, Argus is as radiant as the morning sun on Mount Olympus. At just 1 year old, this Retriever-mix is an energetic adventurer with a heart as big as Zeus’s sky. Argus is happiest when he`s outdoors, racing like Hermes across a fenced yard, his joy as boundless as the horizon. Yet, indoors, he transforms into a loyal companion who loves to snuggle—a perfect balance between the spirit of adventure and the warmth of home. Argus is well-trained and knows a variety of commands, including *sit, come, space, go potty,* and *night night.* He’s house-trained and walks beautifully on a harness, though he dreams of wide-open fields where he can run free, channeling the untamed energy of a young Pegasus. This shining star gets along well with other dogs his size or smaller, though he’s not quite sure about cats, babies, or young children. His new owner will need to be patient, as Argus occasionally exhibits the independent streak of a hero forging his own path. But his stubbornness is balanced by his sweet, snuggly side—proof that even the most daring adventurer needs love and comfort.
