My name is Balu, like the beloved bear in The Jungle Book. Balu also means "young" or "child" in some Indian cultures, which is fitting because I'm about 2-months old and am expected to be a medium to large dog. I have a soft black coat with white and black speckled socks and a bit of white on the tippy tip of my tail. According to people who have seen me, I am 100% adorable. I am a baby, so I am currently eating 4 times a day and I am also getting treats to help me learn things like how to sit, that touching my paws and ears isn't scary and other things. I still have a lot to learn though, like being on a leash and other important things so I am looking for a family who will train me to be the best companion ever. After training, I will be happy to snuggle and give kisses, as long as I am not exhausted from being cute! The name Binx can be traced back to Old English roots to words that were used to describe small, agile creatures. The modern-day meaning is lively and sprightly ~ to be "full of energy". He is one of the smaller pups in his litter of 8 and stands out with a beautiful black coat of fur that is highlighted with gray. Atlas is known as the "God of Strength and Endurance". In Greek mythology, he is the Titan who carries the heavens upon his shoulders. Well Atlas is definitely full of strength and endurance. And like a road atlas, he is all over the place! Atlas is very independent and pretty much does what he wants to do. If he wants to play, he will jump into a puppy pile and play. If he wants to nap, he has no problem leaving the playground to cozy up in a warm bed while his siblings still play. He has beautiful markings ~ his head and body are a rich black color with a fluffy white chest and a mix of black, white and brown legs/paws. Story

Cesar is ready for his forever home! He is believed to be a Golden Retriever/Shepherd mix, around 9-10 years old and about 50ish pounds. He is a docile and sweet guy that is coming out of his shell in his foster home. Prior to coming to BAARK, Cesar spent the majority of his life on a homeless dog ranch in Texas where he did not get much one-on-one human contact. It does take him a little time to open up to people but after a couple days in his foster home, he soon became a “velcro dog” following his foster mom everywhere she goes. He is house broken (has had zero accidents in his foster home) and crate trained. He loves to sleep in his crate but does not need to be crated when left alone, or at night; he is free to roam with no issues. Cesar loves being outside and would love his forever family to have a secure, fenced yard. He has great leash manners and enjoys his daily walks, as well. He is good with other dogs with proper introduction and would do well with another calm dog in the home; he would be fine as an only dog too. We do not know how Cesar is with cats. A home without small children would be best for Cesar as he gets a bit nervous with loud noises and fast movements. Cesar is fully vetted, up to date on all vaccinations, is heartworm negative and his senior bloodwork panel came back perfect. He is also neutered, microchipped and recently had a dental cleaning with appropriate extractions. Due to his having osteoarthritis, typical of larger dogs his age, he would do best continuing to take medications to help. Currently he is taking Omega 3s, Cosequin and Cortaflex Plus that have greatly helped him in his day to day movement. We believe Cesar is also a bit hard of hearing. If you’re looking for a low key, easy going smiley guy who loves to find a soft spot and take a nap, Cesar is your pup!
