www.goldenrescuesouthflorida.com Wow! Thanks to GRSF, I have learned so much about being a super Golden Retriever. I always had all the super traits of a Golden. I love people. My only issue was I got excited when I'd see other dogs out walking on a leash. And I wasn't the best "sharer". But all that is in my past. I went to school and it was so cool to learn. Here's what my previous owner told GRSF about me. "He is very loving and obedient. He lives to please and is a great listener and cuddler. He loves sleeping with me in bed. He's kind and loves to play. ". Quite a recommendation, right? He lives in an apartment now. Not the best environment for me. He's hoping GRSF will find a family with a fenced yard. I really love all the attention and would be best as the only dog. I haven't been around kids...but I'm thinking I'd be most comfortable with " bigger kids". You can tell from my pictures. I'm your classic, handsome, awesome Golden guy. I'm a six year old, neutered and I've " graduated with honors" and I'm ready to GO HOME. Please meet Chanel. She is a 9 year old Golden Retriever mixed rescue dog. I adopted her when she was 2 years old in Atlanta, GA. She is a very good house dog and has been to many boarding facilities when I am away for the holidays with NO PROBLEMS, yet she has some aggressive tendencies towards other animals when out on walks with me. She is very afraid of thunderstorms and fireworks. Other than that, she has been the perfect dog! She is great around my niece and special needs daughter who are both only 2 years old. I’m only giving her up because I haven’t been able to give her the love and attention she deserves since I had my special needs child. Bella is a GREAT dog for children(Grandchildren)as well as people of all ages. She needs to be around people as that is what makes her happy. While she has energy, at 11/12 she has slowed down. What she has lost in energy she has gained in affection and personality. Bella' mother was full breed show dog and her farther was full breed used for stud services. We bought her from a professional breeder in North Carolina. We have all of the documentation on Bella and her 100% pedigree. She will be a great addition to any home and we will not let her go unless we can physically the environment and people who will care for her. Bella is a middle weight and around 70 lbs. wet. PERFECT size. We are considering allowing her to be adopted as we are active and do not give her the time she really needs especially as she gets older. GREAT companion dog.

Hi, I'm Ron! I was originally picked up by Animal Care and Control and brought to the Ranch all the way back in 2014. I've been in a couple of homes, but they haven't lasted due to my quirky behaviors. I require a special handler for a special dog, because I can be pretty anxious in a home, I don't like to share my stuff, and I'm a total introvert. That means I need to be properly introduced to strangers and should not live in any home with children or frequent guests. That doesn't mean I don't like people though, cause once I open up I'm the sweetest, most loyal boy you'll meet. I love other dogs and even cats as well! Plus, I'm super food motivated and have learned some tricks. I may be an old boy, but I do like to roam, so I'd like a nice yard, maybe with a pool too! I'm not too fond of small spaces like crates, you see. I'm looking for a retirement home to finish out my golden years, and if you've got the skills for the job, this old dog can learn some new tricks! If you're willing to open your heart and home to me, you'll be rewarded with a sweet, happy boy with nothing on his mind but treats, naps, walks, and ear scratchies!

Hi, my name is Vinnie. I've got quite a story to tell. See, back in the time of Covid-19, my person was no longer able to take care of me, and I was unfortunately separated from him. This landed me in a high-kill shelter in North Carolina, but thankfully, the Ranch took me in. I really miss being in a home, and I've been waiting since January of 2023 to have a new family. I know I'm on the bigger side, but I'm super loving and sweet! Plus, big squishy dogs make perfect cuddlers. When I'm not being a snuggle bug, I enjoy playing with toys (especially bones!), eating snacks, and exploring my yard. I like to wrestle with my roommates here, though I can be picky about the dogs I like to play with, so please make sure I have proper introductions. I also don't really love cats or other small critters, cause I like to chase things and I'm still learning the leash. We could even take some training classes together to really help! Training is fun, engaging, and a great way to increase your bond with a dog. My funky little ears are very eye catching, and I'm sure to have all your friends and family adoring me! I will give all that love right back!!
