Eloise is a young, medium-sized Golden Retriever/Husky mix with the biggest heart you'll ever find in a dog. She came to us in January after being abandoned when her previous family was deported, and she has been nothing but pure joy ever since. She loves everyone. People, dogs, cats, and kids. She is genuinely one of the most social, easygoing dogs you'll meet. She loves to play but is equally happy to lounge around, making her the perfect low-maintenance companion. She's also a fashionista, she loves being dressed up! She knows commands like sit and fetch and has great leash manners, she just needs a little more training to polish her skills. We were fostering her hoping she could stay, but one of our resident dogs isn't warming up to her. She deserves a forever home where she's fully embraced. I'm also happy to have her spayed before adoption if needed.

Are you loooking for a sweet ride or die? Look no further. Butch is a delightful friend and SO SMART!  Rescued from a tethered hell. Butch languished for months on a cable tether. He was not fed well and he was taunted... treated like a vicious beast. He was frustated and anxious. Afraid and alone. Within moments of meeting him, we saw something different. We spent time sitting on the stoop, tossing him bits of our lunch. Eventually he settled enough to start catching the bits we tossed him. We then asked him to sit. And HE DID.  How were we to believe this was a bad dog? He is a good dog that has been treated badly. We have had him for a couple weeks now and he is a new man. He is a big sweet, intelligent goof ball. He has started playing and loves to go for truck rides. He uses his nose to move your hand if he needs something. He is just amazing. He is not a purebred Golden retriever but he is SO GOLDEN! He is not recommended around small children, small animals or other dogs. He is intitailly distrusting of strangers but warms up to kindness quickly.  He weighed 75 pounds when rescued and was VERY thin! He will likelt be a 100 pound dog when he is fully filled out! We have videos on our facebook that share the progression of his rescue.
