Story
Hello, I'm Landon. I'm a pretty mellow guy who enjoys lounging around and some gentle pets. I'm not one for loud noises or fast movements. I need someone who understands that and will go slow with me. With some time, I will show you my adorable playful side! I am what they call a "Playgroup Rockstar" around here because I am playful and polite with all the other dogs I meet. I promise, I'll be the most loyal friend you've ever had. My past may be unknown, but my future is bright with you. Adopt me, not for my past, but for all the love I have to give in the future! Also I'm heartworm positive, but I'm not letting that get me down! With that being said it just means I am available for foster-to-adopt while Animal Friends Alliance provides treatment. Don't worry, though, I've got a normal long life ahead of me, just need a few months of TLC and I'll be good to go! Before you ask, it's not contagious to other dogs, cats or people

Story
Meet Graciela, a sweet and spunky goofy girl who’s all about fun and excitement! With her big, bright eyes and tail that’s always wagging, Graciela is a ball of energy who loves to play and has a heart full of joy. She’s the type of dog who will greet you with excitement and enthusiasm, ready to jump right into the day’s adventures. Graciela loves her playtime, especially when it involves running around and having fun with her human friends. Whether it's fetching a ball, tug-of-war, or just zooming around the yard, she’s always up for a good time. But there’s one thing to keep in mind—Graciela really doesn't like being chased. She’s got her boundaries, and she appreciates play that's on her terms. A gentle, engaging game will have her excited and happy, but any rough chasing might make her feel a little unsure. With that said, once she’s comfortable, she’s the most loving, playful companion you could ask for.

Story
Sugar is a very sweet, 2 year old pure bred Golden Retriever. We got her as a puppy 2 summers ago. She is house trained and knows how to sit, stay and come and is excellent on a leash. We’ve taken her camping/hunting and she’s GREAT! While hunting, we would have to leave her at the campsite and she remains, even when not leashed! She’s wonderful with our kids, but with our baby #4 coming, we feel like it will be too much. Would love for her to go to a new home where she can get the love and attention she deserves.

Story
Petunia, Golden Retriever/Poodle/Australian Cattle Dog/Kelpie. 1 1/2 yr. 42 lbs. Petunia spent the first 14 weeks in a wire kennel. Because she didn’t get out of the kennel for so long and did not have much exposure to the outside world, she will take time to work up confidence to experience new situations in a new home. Petunia is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. She’s somewhat bossy with other dogs so would probable do better as on only dog. She needs a home with someone home most of the time to give her the attention she has never had. Call Cindy 970-353-1385

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.June Carter is Looking for Her FOREVER Home! Summary: June Carter is a spirited and resilient dog with a heart full of love. Rescued from the Wind River Reservation at just 5 weeks old, she has grown into a loyal companion with plenty of personality. She is now seeking her perfect forever home, where she can feel safe, loved, and understood. Personality: June Carter is affectionate and playful with those she trusts. She has a strong bond with her foster mom but can be cautious and fearful around men. June enjoys outdoor adventures, snow play, and the company of other animals. She is crate-trained, knows basic commands, and loves learning through positive reinforcement. However, June has some resource-guarding tendencies with food and toys, so an experienced owner who can continue to work with her on this behavior would be ideal. Special Requirements: June Carter has hip dysplasia, which is managed with carprofen and fish oil supplements to support her joints. She needs a home with a securely fenced yard to accommodate her active nature and love for outdoor play. June is not suited for homes with children. Compatibility: June gets along well with cats and other dogs but needs a home where her resource-guarding behavior is understood and managed. She thrives in a calm, structured environment and would benefit from a confident adopter who can help her build trust and confidence around new people. Ideal Home: June Carter’s ideal home is with someone who appreciates her unique personality and can provide her with the care, patience, and understanding she needs to shine. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to June, visit laramieanimals.org to apply today! (Breed mix is an estimate based on her appearance.)Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.    **Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com** March 3, 2025, 2:50 pm
