Story
Meet Zeus! Zeus is a sweet, high-energy 1-year-old retriever mix who’s ready to find his forever home here in Colorado. After spending too long waiting in Oklahoma, this handsome boy is neutered, fully vaccinated, and eager to start the next chapter of his life. Zeus is an active dog who would thrive with a family that enjoys outdoor adventures—he’d love to be your running or hiking buddy! He’s a big fan of napping, chewing on toys, and chasing squirrels and bunnies in the yard. Due to his size and high prey drive, Zeus would do best in a home without cats or small animals. He is dog-selective and needs slow introductions to new canine friends, especially since he can be territorial and a bit of a resource guarder. Zeus has lived with adults only and is not child-tested. He would love a home where he isn’t left alone for long periods, with a secure yard where he can run and play. If you’re looking for an active, loving companion, Zeus might just be the perfect fit for your family! Apply online at (www.lolasrescue.com)! You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  **Dogs in a foster home will need to have a preapproved application on file before setting up meet and greets. ** ##1602400##

Story
Gypsy is a sweet golden that loves people. She's is playful and loves tossing stuffed animals around. She has bouts of puppy energy but also sleeps away the day.  Gypsy's life hasn't been all rainbows and sparkles. She was a breeding dog that has had at least one litter. She's currently struggling with lots of anxiety that we are trying to help her through it. There are times where she's too spooked to go outside because of noises. She has accidents in the house when this happens. Other times when outside she's testing the short fence for escape. She also pancakes it if we try to leave for a walk to do something she doesn't want to do. For this reason, she will need a 6ft securely fenced yard. Adopter must be able to pick up a 75lbs dog bent on being dead weight. She is as stubborn as she is sweet and will need help loading into a car (she absolutely doesn't want to go). She will need help unloading too (once there she doesn't want to leave). Gypsy has been sweet to every person she's met. She's done well with the other dogs in the home and the longer she's been in her foster home the more she plays with them. She has shown resource guarding over toys and blankets with the other pups. It is getting better but if she's going to be in a multidog household the other dog(s) must be okay with her having toys to herself.   She's come a long way so far, but she will need lots of love and patience as she adjusts to her new lifestyle.  Apply online at (www.lolasrescue.com)! You can email Info@lolasrescue.com anytime with questions pertaining to animals in our care.  **Dogs in a foster home will need to have a preapproved application on file before setting up meet and greets. ** ##2199371##

Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2229404##

Story
It goes without saying that this boy is stunningly beautiful ! But he's just as amazing on the inside as he is on the outside. Tucker is calm, gentle, loves affection, sweet, kind. Amazing it all humans and children. He's perfect with other dogs and would also do fine as an only puppy as long has he has children to play with. He's very easy going and laid back. He's kennel trained and house trained and currently with Michelle in her home as a foster in Memphis , Tn. We have two transport companies that run to the northeast every weekend. Leaving Memphis on Fridays and making stops along the way up as far north as West Greenwich RI. Transport is an additional $185.00. Once an application has been submitted and approved, Michele, his foster mom, would love to speak with you and tell you all about him, send videos, photos, etc. Please refrain from submitting your application until you're ready to welcome your new forever as you will find our volunteer team to be very responsive! https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9

Story
Cooper is a four year old, 65 pound golden retriever mix. He is as sweet and goofy as can be, and would spend every second with his owners if he could. Some of his favorite activities include cuddling, hiking, RVing, swimming and did we say cuddling! While he can be active, he also loves his downtime especially if it includes you. He is potty trained, crate trained, and knows a variety of tricks/commands.   Cooper loves all humans, but can be selective with his dog friends and needs slow introductions. He needs to be the only dog in the home and will need a home with a private yard. Cooper would love to continue working with his trainer, and would come with a series of one on one classes with his new owner at no cost.    Cooper will truly be the most incredible and loving companion for someone special. He is a wonderful dog!    My contact info: Cell - 303.618.4285 Email - bpbroe@gmail.com     This dog is a courtesy listing and not one of our dogs. Story
Chase is a Golden Retriever mix who is 9 months old and about 40lbs currently. Located in Aurora, Colorado 80017. The Good: He loves being around people and dogs of similar size and is very playful with our black lab mix. With people he is the most friendly puppy and will often shake his butt so much in excitement and will roll over to get his belly and chest rubbed. For a puppy he is very relaxed and calm and often wants to just sit or lay down with company. The bad: Chase has also been crate-trained but is having a lot of difficulty house training even with positive reinforcement. He is pretty smart, but not the most obedient - training must be heavily reinforced with him. He is still a puppy - expect chewing and destruction if he is not supervised. I would prefer (not required) to see him go to an experienced family with one member who works at home or is a full time homemaker. Please ask any questions and I also highly encourage a meet and greet!

All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please do not contact EAPL  about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, information on history, vaccines, etc.  Please contact, William Evergreen, Colorado 303-888-8658 for information on adopting Thorn. Meet Thorn...Backstory:  A couple who is/was homeless had been allowed to board their dog there most of the summer. They took him when they left town and have been living in their car since August with their dog. This past weekend they reached out to my daughter and surrendered Thorn to her. We had them sign a PETA surrender/release form so we have that in file. They cannot come back and try to regain custody of this poor guy. Unfortunately, we have no fence and no gate. We live right off Highway 74. Thorn has been sleeping in my daughter's room quite comfortably (Better than in a car) and seems more than content to just stay in her room as he is understandably a little stressed out. Our home does not offer a good long-term solution or a quality situation in which Thorn can thrive.  Thorn is a 4-year-old husky/golden mix. 70-75 pounds Good manners - Can sit and shake Housetrained - No accidents in our home since Monday Leash trained to a degree. He is enthusiastic when outdoors and enjoys his walks. Of course he is a little hyper after living in a car and now living in my daughter's room. He is chipped. He came from a shelter in Tennessee. We have a copy of his full medical records as well. Please contact, William Evergreen, Colorado 303-888-8658 for information on adopting Thorn.November 5, 2024, 2:57 pm

Sunny is a lab possibly staffie mix with the most beautiful silvery coloring. He is an affectionate guy and loves going for walks. His tail just goes a mile a minute as he takes in all the outdoor smells. His smile is as cute as can be and he has the cutest bouncy prance to his step. He is not a fan of cats, though.
