Story
Meet Ayla, a sweet and energetic Golden Doodle who is always ready for fun! With her boundless energy, she loves zooming around the play yard, often leading the charge during playtime with both small and big dog friends. Ayla is super friendly and playful, and when she's not busy running around, you can find her hopping into your lap, soaking up all the attention she can get. She's a pro on the leash and would make an amazing companion for daily walks or adventurous hikes. Ayla is also highly treat-motivated, which will make future training a breeze. Whether she's your only dog or she has a doggy friend to hang out with, Ayla's bouncy, joyful nature and love for both people and dogs will bring endless happiness. If you're looking for a loving, playful companion with lots of energy, Ayla might just be the sweetest dog you'll ever meet!- - - - -Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience. Story
Meet Phoenix, a gentle and sweet Golden Doodle who loves to give kisses. She's still a little cautious when it comes to accepting pets, but she's learning that humans can offer loving touches and all the good things in life. With time and patience, she'll surely grow more confident. Phoenix gets along well with other dogs, even the high-energy ones, and has an incredibly calm demeanor. Though she doesn't actively play with other dogs, she's extremely tolerant, even with playful puppies.Phoenix would love to go for walks with her new companion and her love for treats will certainly help with training. She would be perfectly happy with a dog friend or as the only dog in the home. This gentle girl is ready for someone to teach her about all the wonderful experiences life has to offer!- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
Meet Indi, a shy and gentle Golden Doodle who is still learning to trust humans. Right now, Indi doesn't initiate contact and hasn't quite figured out the joy of pets and affection. He feels most secure around other dogs, especially his buddy Dallas, though they are not a bonded pair. Indi walks well on a leash as long as he has a confident dog companion by his side, and he would do best in a home with a more confident dog to help guide him. While Indi is shy inside his kennel, he becomes more social outdoors and has an adorable trot when greeting other dogs. He's slowly gaining confidence every day, discovering that life has many joys to offer. If you're a patient and loving person who will give him the time he needs to blossom, Indi will undoubtedly become the perfect companion.- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Story
see descriptionIndie, a 55-pound, gentle and sensitive golden doodle between 1 and 2 years old who’s slowly learning to trust again. While her past is a mystery, she’s started to reveal her big, goofy, loving personality in her foster home. Indie thrives in a calm, predictable environment and will need a patient, understanding adopter who respects her boundaries. A quieter home with a confident dog would be ideal, as she relies on other dogs to build her confidence. Older, respectful children are also okay. She’s fully potty trained and does well on the leash but needs a confident leader to help her navigate the big, scary things and noises outside. Indie is always close to her people and loves a good snuggle and a belly rub. Though she's still unsure about collars and tends to hide when it’s time to put one on, she’s making progress. Meeting new people is a challenge for Indie, so don’t expect an instant connection or a wagging tail, but with time, she warms up and shows her true, sweet self. While she’s fearful of many things, there have been no signs of fear aggression—just a tender heart in need of patience and love. Indie needs someone who will offer her the stability and routine she craves, and in return, she’ll reward you with moments of pure joy as she learns to feel safe and loved again. If you think you're the perfect home for this beautiful girl, please fill out an application on our website, www.misfitsdogrescue.org. Her adoption fee is $400, and she’s fully vetted and up to date on all care.October 2, 2024, 8:02 pm

Story
Arlo is an 8 year old 3/4 Golden 1/4 Poodle and weighs approximately 85lbs. He is an incredibly sweet boy and wants to be with his people all the time. He will snuggle for as long as one is willing. He takes medication for hypothyroidism but it is relatively inexpensive through Chewy. We are looking to rehome him due to some concerns we have about his reactions to our 2 year old toddler. He has gotten startled by the chaotic movements of the toddler and his reaction has been to jump up and assume a defensive position. He has growled and snapped during a couple of these episodes but has never bitten anyone. He lives with two other Goldens that he plays with nicely. He is used to having a dog door and a back yard but is able to hold his potty in the absence of a dog door. He knows basic commands such as sit and down and is very intelligent and quick to learn. We are devastated to have to rehome him, but want to find a loving home for him. Happy to give more details when we connect!

Story
Snowy is very sweet boy, he is house trained and gentle with kids. We have two little kids and it has been difficult for us to give time to him recently. We want better life for him, we think he deserves all the attention and should be loved as much he loves his parents. He loves going for walk and play around in backyard.
