Story
Fernando is a big, goofy Golden Retriever mix with a fun, happy personality. He came to Colorado from an overcrowded situation in Texas and has adjusted quickly. He is playful, social, and always seems to have a smile on his face. He loves being around his people and is a classic wiggle worm. He is already picking up on basic boundaries like “no” and giving space during mealtimes, but he will still keep a hopeful eye on your plate. When he settles, he is happy to relax on his dog bed nearby. Fernando is still young and working through typical puppy behaviors, including chewing. He will need a home that keeps things out of reach and continues consistent training. He is a large, strong dog who does not always realize his size. He can be excitable and will need an adopter who can handle him physically and continue working on leash skills and manners. He will benefit from regular exercise and structure. Fernando is very dog friendly and is currently living with a large male dog and a cat. He would likely do well with another dog who can match his energy and play style. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he is not a fit for a home with young children. Fernando is a sweet, fun dog who will do best in an active home that can provide structure, consistency, and continued training. ##2714443##

Story
Snoop (“Snoopy”) – Young Australian Shepherd / Golden Retriever Mix Snoop, also known as Snoopy, is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd and Golden Retriever mix with a big personality, high intelligence, and a deeply affectionate nature. Born November 29, 2023, he weighs about 70 lbs and has a striking black coat with a white chest and belly. Snoop is an active, high-energy dog who thrives on play, movement, and interaction. He especially loves games like tug-of-war and squeaky toys, and he’s known for being very engaged and expressive with his people. He is highly trainable and already knows several tricks, including “whisper,” “roll over,” and “dance.” He is crate trained and housetrained. When left alone in the home, he typically rests but may occasionally get into trash or cardboard if bored, which is consistent with his energy level and intelligence. Snoop is very affectionate and forms strong bonds with his people. He has lived with another dog and has done well with other dogs in general, though he can show reactivity on leash when seeing other dogs. However, when introduced properly in person, he is friendly and social. He has also lived with cats; initial curiosity and chasing behavior improved over time with exposure. He has not been regularly around young children, and a prior rehoming attempt with small kids was not the right fit for him. He is not aggressive toward people or animals and does not have a bite history. He may be vocal at times, but is not a constant barker—more expressive than disruptive. Snoop is being surrendered due to major life changes in his home, including an upcoming baby, a demanding business, and the loss of a family member who had been helping care for him. His family did not make this decision lightly and originally hoped to keep him. He is a very intelligent, emotionally aware, and loving dog who will thrive in an active home that understands working breeds and can give him structure, exercise, and engagement. Snoop will need to be netuered and get up to date on vaccines before he can be officially adopted. If you are interested in bringing Snoop home - you can apply to foster. Foster's get the first opportunity to adopt their foster dogs when they become available . ##2719048##
