She is in the care of my mother who has several small dogs and gets along well with everyone, using the doggie door to come in and out of the house. Nevertheless, only one applicant will be invited to meet a dog at a mutually agreeable appointment day, time & place. Usually Petsmart Yorba Linda or our Santa Ana location near South Coast Plaza. All adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, full sets of core vaccinations (rabies and 1 set of distemper/parvo for adults, 4 for puppies) and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc.

Meet Rosie! This 1 year old, 68lbs golden retriever/lab mix came to us from the Riverside Shelter after being found wandering alone wearing a harness and leash. Her people never came for her, which is wild because she is SUCH a sweet girl! Rosie already knows sit, down, come, and kennel. She is super loving and very people-oriented. She could use some work on a leash, and we are still gauging if she's potty trained or not. So far she's been good in a kennel for an hour, but we haven't left her for longer. It's hard to say if she's good with other dogs. She was kenneled with two other dogs in the shelter, but when we tried to have her play with another dog outside of the shelter, her play style was very rough and bitey. She would probably be very overwhelming for smaller dogs or dogs that get overwhelmed by a lot of energy. For families with children, we are only recommending Rosie to homes with kids over the age of 10 due to her size. Overall, Rosie is a sweetheart and will make a wonderful addition to a very lucky home. If you are interested in adopting her and live in Orange County, please fill out an application on our website.
