If you answered yes to both of these questions, Chee Yoo could be the perfect dog for you. Chee Yoo is a beautiful, 5 yo medium/large female dog that came to Jelly's Place from South Korea in July 2021. Why has such a wonderful dog not been adopted yet? Read further to find out. Chee Yoo is very timid and nervous around people. She LOVES other dogs, and has become best friends with another Jelly's dog named Pepe. Pepe has a very similar personality to Chee Yoo and the two of them are like 2 peas in a pod. Chee Yoo can guard her food which is not surprising given where she came from. So, care needs to be taken with another dog when food, especially high value foods, are around. During her time at Jelly's Place, Chee Yoo has gone from hiding in the corner to taking daily walks on a leash. She is becoming more comfortable and confident, but still has a long way to go. She has learned to trust her primary caregiver, but is still not comfortable interacting with other people. Chee Yoo would do best in a calm, quiet home with dog experience and older or no children. Chee Yoo is NOT a dog for first time adopters. She needs adopters who are willing to be patient and to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable, confident and loved. Another dog in the home is essential. and we prefer to keep Chee Yoo with her buddy Pepe. If you are interested in adopting Chee Yoo, we recommend that you come and spend time with her on several occasions so that she becomes comfortable with you. Chee Yoo is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted.

Meet Fletcher, a lucky pup, and of course we are a bit baffled coming up with breeds for him! Smaller than a Golden, and bigger than a Chihuahua.... Pomeranian mix - we don't think so - but could have some.... he's a fluffy cutie and we are guessing at an adult size in the medium range of 28-40 pounds. He is a tad shy, but opens up - he's just arrived after being in foster care in the Fresno area, where he was much loved!

Cooper was surrendered after his family were told there were tomay dogs in the home. Current foster update: He is very handsome and very sweet, great with other dogs, kids, and cats that don’t run. He definitely will chase chickens. He does great with my house bunny. Extremely shy upon first meeting and needs work with socializing but is responding and adapting well. He got a little carsick in my car mainly drooling but Once he is relaxed and trusts you, he is a fantastic dog. Very sweet. Good snuggler. No food aggression. Best yet Housebroken! I think he would do best with a family WITH another dog that can show him how to be a dog. He really loosened up around me once he met my other dogs. He’s generally happy though needs reassurance he’s safe.

The short story is that our now grown children who grew up with a beautiful golden retriever (Hugo) who since passed away of old age 3 years ago thought it would be a brilliant idea to surprise their mom with this puppy two years ago. Lucy is beautiful and very sweet, but has half Grand Pyrenees mixed in with her Golden Retriever bloodline which apparently means that it is in her DNA to to want to protect a flock of something. This means barking at any perceived threats, especially coyotes, while she is “on duty." She loves to go on a routine patrol around the property and curiously, when she is off property, she never barks. It's like she knows she's not responsible for security when she is off property and is rather on vacation from her “job." I believe Lucy's true fantasy life would be to protect a flock of sheep from the coyotes just like Ralph the Sheepdog. She gets along well with our son’s dog and would make a great partner dog for someone who already has a working ranch dog.

Honey is approximately 7 to 8 years old. She is on the smaller side of an average golden retriever, weighing about 35 pounds. She LOVES food and is very food motivated. She is very calm, loves to follow you around and she enjoys taking walks outside. She does well with other dogs. She was rescued from a meat truck in China, her vocal chords may have been removed sadly. She recently had a surgery to remove a lump on her front left leg and it came back as low grade sarcoma.
