If you answered yes to both of these questions, Chee Yoo could be the perfect dog for you. Chee Yoo is a beautiful, 5 yo medium/large female dog that came to Jelly's Place from South Korea in July 2021. Why has such a wonderful dog not been adopted yet? Read further to find out. Chee Yoo is very timid and nervous around people. She LOVES other dogs, and has become best friends with another Jelly's dog named Pepe. Pepe has a very similar personality to Chee Yoo and the two of them are like 2 peas in a pod. Chee Yoo can guard her food which is not surprising given where she came from. So, care needs to be taken with another dog when food, especially high value foods, are around. During her time at Jelly's Place, Chee Yoo has gone from hiding in the corner to taking daily walks on a leash. She is becoming more comfortable and confident, but still has a long way to go. She has learned to trust her primary caregiver, but is still not comfortable interacting with other people. Chee Yoo would do best in a calm, quiet home with dog experience and older or no children. Chee Yoo is NOT a dog for first time adopters. She needs adopters who are willing to be patient and to give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable, confident and loved. Another dog in the home is essential. and we prefer to keep Chee Yoo with her buddy Pepe. If you are interested in adopting Chee Yoo, we recommend that you come and spend time with her on several occasions so that she becomes comfortable with you. Chee Yoo is UTD on vaccines, spayed and microchipped. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted.

Honey is approximately 7 to 8 years old. She is on the smaller side of an average golden retriever, weighing about 35 pounds. She LOVES food and is very food motivated. She is very calm, loves to follow you around and she enjoys taking walks outside. She does well with other dogs. She was rescued from a meat truck in China, her vocal chords may have been removed sadly. She recently had a surgery to remove a lump on her front left leg and it came back as low grade sarcoma. She's not fully recovered yet, but doing well. She's ready to find her forever home! Please reach out if interested.

Hailing from Southern CA, Gemma will charm you with her honey-eyed gaze, beautiful golden locks and affinity for cuddling. She’s an active girl who loves to chase the ball, go for walks and swim. Gemma is very affectionate and lights up when volunteers approach her kennel. She gives kisses to anyone close enough, followed by a huge grin and request for belly rubs. Gemma has plenty of adventures left in the tank and is looking for an active family who can keep up with her zest for life and understands she may need some training to hone and perfect her manners. Gemma has loved the scent training work our team of volunteers works with her on and Gemma would also do great with a person interested in continuing this fun sport. Gemma would love all the attention without competing with any other dog but likely a distinguished older fur sibling with proper introduction could be a potential fur sibling. . She prefers a home without cats. This loyal and loving girl is ready to find her new forever family!

Our sweet Puddin brings a big personality in her little body. Puddin is a confident girl, greeting volunteers with a wagging tail and big smile, always ready for an adventure. While she brings the wisdom of a senior, she looks like an eternal puppy with her petite body and tiny paws! If you ask us, Puddin makes the perfect companion! She is down to go and burn some energy in the Lily’s dog park, playing and romping, but also loves to relax and cuddle with her humans. She loves to nap on her back with all four feet in the air, completely relaxed! We’re not sure Puddin has ever had a home of her own. While she’s a loving and affectionate girl, she will need patience developing leash skills and proper manners. Puddin would do well as the only pet in the home as she feels she deserves ALL of the attention and affection!
