Story
Oria is a beautiful big fluffy girl who is three years old and weighs in around 55 pounds. She is a mix of Golden Retriever and Great Pyrenees. She has come into the OOTW program because her owner had to take a job where he works out of town for weeks on end. This leaves her and her sister, Hunny, outside, alone in the yard with a couple of different people stopping by to replenish food and water every couple of days. It's not a good situation and we would love to find these girls homes and they do not need to be adopted together. As these girls are quite a ways out of Little Rock, we have been unable to get them to the vet just yet, but we are working on this and we are moving forward with taking applications for adoption and will get the vetting worked in as we go. Oria is a gentle, loving girl who likes nothing better than being with her people. Well behaved, house trained and crate trained, we believe she will make a fantastic family pet and we expect her to be good with children even though she's not been with kids up to this point. (Vetting includes, but is not limited to, the following: Spay, heartworm test, rabies shot, annual vaccinations, kennel cough vaccination, flea/tick/heartworm preventative and microchip.) If you would like to adopt this sweet girl, the link to the application is just below. Adoption fee is $150.To make the best possible match for you and the pet, please follow the link below to complete the Adoption Application. Once your application has been processed, we'll be in contact. We cannot schedule a meet and greet without a completed application. Story
Tabitha is a beautiful shepherd mix. She was picked up on Jones Rd and has been waiting on her family to come and reclaim her but no one has shown up. Tabitha is very submissive and has done well with all the dogs here at the shelter. She walks well on a leash and is very loving. For more information please contact the shelter at 501-882-8104. Tabitha did very well in her foster home. She did not use the bathroom in the house, or get into the trash. She did not bark, She was the perfect house guest. This pet is available for adoption at Beebe Animal Services, 1401 E Center Street in Beebe, AR. All pets are available by application only. Story
Jasper is a 3 year old Golden Retriever mix, weighing 60 pounds. He is housetrained and crate trained. He loads and rides well. He is used to being an inside dog and is mild-mannered and friendly with people. He knows “sit” and has done well with continued training but can be stubborn. He is pushy and selective with other dogs and would likely be happiest as the only dog in the home. He is not good with cats. He is healthy, heartworm negative, and neutered. Jasper is a door darter and runner and will need to go to a home with a securely fenced in yard where he can safely get the exercise he needs. ....................................If you would like further information or would like to request an adoption application, please e-mail us directly adopt@thehss.org If you request an application and don’t receive it check your spam or junk mail file. Story
Josi (given name Josiah) is a beautiful, sweet, QUIET, very healthy, very responsive, neutered white boy, who'd want nothing more than to be someone's sweet family pet! He's just turning 3 (not an unnecessary barker & his vocals, when you hear them, are not annoyingly loud). He occassionally gives you a little wooo-woo when he's happy, and plays very well with my little poodle, He's right at 60 pounds, heartworm neg & I put him on mo. prevention. I agreed to foster & work with him until we can find him a nice family environment. He's a great sidekick; loves attention and snuggles--if you'd let him, he'd be a lap dog. He does well being left alone. He's eager to please, & housebroke in only 2 days w/zero accidents. I have a doggy door, but even when he's kept inside, he doesn't go in the house. BONUS -- doesn't chew the furniture! He was a 100% outdoor dog, but I don't want this dog left outside in the cold. He'd love to sleep on the bed (honest) but I make him sleep on HIS bed.
