Story
Nora is a sweet 5 year old Siberian Husky. Born in San Diego and raised and trained in DC. Nora is good with all people and all dogs. She is trained to use a doggy door to let herself out and is food driven, so she is obedient when treats are involved! I am unfortunately unable to give Nora the attention she needs due to increase in work responsibilities, so I’m looking to find a good new home for her!

Story
Ferd is the most loving and calm dog I've ever encountered. He's amazing with kids. I mean amazing. We have had visitor's kids put him through hell and he never bit or attacked. Only yelped when they hurt him. He also just loves people and if you let him love you back ... He will not understand the definition of personal space. He is very smart and stubborn; doesn't bark; and is happiest if he has space to run (either dog park or back yard). We got him from some friends of ours (New Mexico adoption). He came very polite. He knew how to sit and he listens to not come sit at the table while we eat. We let him on the couches and beds but he'll get off if you tell him to. With a bit more training, he could go fully offleash too. Cons: He can climb fences unless you have a shock collar on him (and we can give you ours). He sheds He will whine if he doesn't get a walk or you don't pet him enough. If another dog gets nasty towards him, he will fight back.

ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/12497Meet Gina – Your Adventure Buddy and Snuggle Partner All in One!Name: GinnaGender: FemaleBreed: Husky/Shepherd MixAge: 3 yearsWeight: 45 lbsCurrent Location: Staunton, VAAbout Are you looking for a spirited, loving adventure buddy who’s equally happy to curl up with you at the end of the day? I’m Ginna, a 3-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix with a gentle nature and a heart full of love. I’m 45 pounds of loyalty, affection, and fun, ready to explore the world by your side.PersonalityI’m playful, affectionate, and I love spending time with my foster family. I’m a bit of an attention hog, so if there’s love being shared, I’ll jump right in! I have a unique play style—sometimes I make a little growling noise, but I’m very submissive and gentle, especially around other dogs and puppies. I take a few days to settle in with new dog friends, but once they understand me, we’re all good. I’m also a great conversationalist with my delightful Husky “talk” and enjoy chatting with my foster family!Energy LevelI’m an active gal who loves to do zoomies in the yard, jumping like a deer and running at top speed! I’m happiest when I have space to play and a fenced yard (at least 5 feet high) where I can safely stretch my legs. I enjoy walks and am great on a leash, though I prefer a fenced yard for bathroom breaks.Skills and TrainingI’m house-trained and will bark to let you know I need to go outside. I’m quiet in my crate, walk well on a leash with a prong collar, and take treats very gently. I know how to “sit” and greet both adults and kids politely when introduced slowly. I am wary of new people, especially young children, so I need a home with calm, patient introductions to new faces. With some time, I warm up—my foster mom’s 4-year-old grandson is now a buddy I gently lick on the face!CompanionshipI’m looking for an active, calm household where I can play, learn, and settle in. I love spending time with other dogs, though I prefer slower introductions, and would do best with a family that enjoys both outdoor adventures and peaceful evenings. With my foster family, I’ve shown how gentle I can be with puppies and how affectionate I am once I know my people.Love and AffectionIf you’re looking for a fun-loving, devoted companion who’s equally up for outdoor adventures and indoor snuggles, I’m the perfect gal for you. I’ll keep you entertained with my Husky charm, love you endlessly, and be the loyal friend you’ve been waiting for. Apply to meet me today, and let’s start our journey together!Watch me in actionWalking on leashSweet girlSitting prettyChasing GinnaWalking on leashPlaying in yardTrevor and GinnaPuppy pile on GinnaI’m doing great at my foster home but I'm ready for a family of my own.
