Story
Gesso is a 1yr old, 85lb, golden retriever/akbash mix. He's neutered, house broken, knows basic commands, walks well on a leash and is up to date on his rabies vax. He is a very energetic boy who needs an active home, preferably with a large yard or property to roam. He has been raised with our two young kids, 3 and 2yrs, and is good with them but often knocks them over because he's so rambunctious. He's good with other dogs, after a slow introduction, and would love to have another dog in the home to play with. He has an environmental allergy that makes him itchy sometimes. We've managed this with a low-dose Prednisone when we see it flare up. Gesso is a good boy but with a new baby and 2 toddlers we just don't have the time to exercise him and give him the attention he needs.

Story
Blaeberry came to us unexpectedly from a friend. After several unsuccessful attempts to return her to her original owner, we stepped in to care for her. Blae is a gentle, sensitive dog with a naturally timid personality. When we later added another dog to our home, it became clear that Blae is happiest as an only dog or in a very carefully managed environment. While both dogs are safe and well cared for, keeping them fully separated has been challenging, and we realized Blae would truly thrive in a home better suited to her needs. Blae is 4 years old and is incredibly sweet once she feels comfortable. She loves cuddles, and relaxing in the sun. She’s very intelligent and observant, though she can be a bit stubborn at times and will benefit from a consistent routine and clear boundaries. This has been a very difficult decision, as we love Blae dearly, but we know she deserves a calm, patient home where she can feel secure and be someone’s special companion. She has so much love to give!
