Story
Oh deer, watch out! This guy will surely capture your heart! This is Buck, a three-year-old Golden Retriever/Shepherd blend. Buck was picked up as a stray, and the staff at Animal Care Services tried to find him a rescue without much luck. On the day he was supposed to be euthanized, a team of fosters finally stepped up to save him. We say “team” because his primary foster was leaving on vacation two days after saving him! That meant Buck spent time in various foster homes with dogs of all shapes and sizes. He did great with each pack, and eventually found a long-term foster with SNIPSA. Buck currently lives with a mix of two teenage boys and a small, older Terrier. He loves to lay out in the sun, hang out and watch football with everyone, and just be a part of the group. He seems to be very adaptable and would do great in most environments, given the proper exercise. In addition to his social skills, Buck carries confidence with him everywhere. That means he is a great walker, doesn't mind fireworks, and can handle some rough n' tumble playtime. He is house-trained and goes to his kennel on command. This dog has it all: good looks and even better manners! Buck would make a wonderful addition to just about any family. So, don't get stuck in the headlights! Apply to meet Buck today!

Story
Well, bless your heart! Aren’t these pups just the cutest? Meet Howdy and Banjo! This fun duo is soft, sweet and Southern! With a mama like Miss Shania, these little ones are bound to inherit some of the best qualities. As Retriever/Shepherd mixes, you can expect these puppies to be loyal, athletic, outgoing and obedient with proper training. Considering these cuties are mixed with some fairly active breeds, a home environment with a dynamic lifestyle would be ideal for them. Though we haven’t seen who the mystery dad is, Miss Shania gives us a decent idea of what these puppies will grow to be. These siblings are likely to be on the larger side, so it’s important that they will have plenty of room to stretch out their legs. As young pups, Howdy and Banjo have plenty of time to adapt into their future homes and will likely do well in just about any family. Cats, dogs, human kiddos and any other species you might have - they are sure to fit right into the pack! So, if you’re in dire need of some Southern sweetness, submit an application for one of these boys!
