She can be a little skittish at first and still carries some uncertainty, but it’s easy to understand—her brother Casper was her protector on the streets, shielding her from just about everything. Once she had space to work one-on-one and experience the world on her own terms, she began to blossom beautifully. And don’t let her sweetness fool you—Goldie has a surprisingly impressive bark. The first time I heard it, I was sure it was Casper… until she came around the corner with that big, deep, “don’t mess with me” Pyr bark of hers. She may be learning confidence, but she definitely knows how to sound the part.
