Story
Hi everyone, I'm Bear! I'm a big goofy boy who lives for playing fetch, getting pets, and being near my people. I'm 2 years old, and am a golden retriever rottweiler mix. When I meet you, I will lean into your legs to get more pets, then sink to the floor in hopes of getting belly rubs. At just over 100lbs, I lean in hard, so get ready! I was professionally trained when I was a puppy, and even though I'm a little rusty on some of my skills, I still know the commands: sit, down, kennel, leave it, with me, and heel. My foster mom says I'm a perfect gentleman when we go on walks and hardly pull at all. I grew up in a house with kids and other dogs so I am house-trained and the only reason I'm looking for a new home is because my first family had allergies and they got too busy to take care of me. I do love playing with the dogs I live with now, and even though I'm big, I'm submissive. I often let the little beagle win in tug of war. I've never lived with a cat, but I just ignored the cat I met at the vet, so I'll likely be fine with them. I'm good when getting baths, good at the vet, calm on car rides, and good at taking pills when you wrap them in meat or cheese. Even though I like kids, I don't know my own size and could knock over the younger ones so I'd probably be better in a house with kids that are a bit older, like 7 or 8. If you like big dogs, have the time to help me get the exercise I need, and can provide me with lots of chew bones, I might be your perfect next pet! You'll need to keep your trash cans covered and teach me to not eat food off the table, but I'm worth it. :) Check out my instagram at @AdoptBearDog to see videos and even more pictures!
