Story
Meet Eskie: A Sweet Soul Ready for a New Beginning! Eskie is an adorable American Eskimo who has spent her life as a breeding dog, and now she's looking for a loving home where she can truly blossom. While she's still adjusting to the world outside her previous life, each day brings her closer to discovering the joys of love and companionship. Eskie is in the early stages of her journey to becoming a confident, social girl. She's never lived in a home before, so everything is new and a bit overwhelming for her-especially sudden sounds and fast movements, but each day is better! She loves being held and she loves sleeping on the bed with her human foster. With patience and gentle encouragement, she's opening her heart to affection. Eskie will benefit from having a patient adopter who understands she's a work in progress. She's working on leash training and is house trained, she loves doing zoomies in a secure fenced yard with another friendly, social dog to help guide her. She has started played with her foster dogs and she's so fast and nimble, they can't catch her. With time, love, and consistent care, Eskie will transform into a loving companion. Imagine the joy of seeing her confidence grow day by day! In just a month or two, you'll witness a completely different dog-one who thrives in a nurturing environment. If you're ready to take a chance on this sweet girl and help her discover the world, apply to adopt Eskie today at www.campcompanion.org. Her adoption fee is $300 plus tax. Together, you can create a beautiful story of healing and love!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Forest is a wonderful work in progress. He is a mixed breed guy who has been with us since Dec., 2021. We didn't put him up for adoption right away as he was very shy and shutdown. Some of our wonderful volunteers have been working with him, taking baby steps, and we think he's ready to transition into a forever home. However it will have to be a very special, secure, and patient home. Forest has been fully vetted and his fee of $125 is sponsored. Forest originally came to rescue from a Reservation in South Dakota. He was on the run for quite a while before he was live trapped. He's a mature adult who could now be close to 7 years old. He is still extremely shy but responds well to treats and kind words. He's learning to go for walks and enjoys it. We think he would be okay with a well mannered, somewhat confident dog. Due to his shy nature, he's looking for an experienced ADULT only home (teens are fine). We have no way of knowing about cats. SECURELY FENCED YARD REQUIRED. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 10:55 am

Story
Got Loki from paws and claws. He is 4 years old but is young at heart. We are looking for someone who is able to hangout with him since we aren’t always home for him and have a big yard because he loves being outside and running around. Loki is friendly, tamed, loving and loves to cuddle plus is so fluffy

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Volunteer fave in the house! Bram arrived at the shelter on Sept. 29th, after he went unclaimed at the city pound. He's a happy and energetic husky mix with icy blue eyes. We do think he's mixed with some type of herding breed. He's friendly and ready for action at all times. He's also very loving. His size is in the medium range and he's most likely 1 to 2 years old. He has been vet checked, neutered, and chipped. His fee is $150. We're hoping to find Bram a home that has some experience with husky types. They are notorious clowns who love to run! Bram does require basic obedience training and a lot of regular exercise to keep him settled. He loves to play and be with people. He has a tendency to be strong willed so he needs an experienced owner who is ready and willing to work with this. Cats are most likely a no for him. An adult only home would be best and a fenced yard would be perfection. He could do well with a well mannered dog of similar size. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application as been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Keep an eye on your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
