Story
adoption donation $599     weight: 30 lbs      Age: 6 months           Jesse is a sweet and friendly puppy who loves to run and play and gets along with everyone she meets. And those ears! She is a quirky funny girl who loves to follow her foster mom from room to room, tail wagging.       Jesse was taken in by local family in Mississippi when she was a small puppy but the family recently fell on hard times and medical issues have made it impossible for them to keep Jesse. They are heartbroken, but Wags has stepped in to help find Jessie a loving new home of her own.     Jesse is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.     Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Adoption donations are our only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fees include the transport, vaccines, spay or neuter.   For more information, please email Mariaeftimiades@yahoo.com  November 16, 2024, 7:45 pm

Story
adoption donation $799     weight: 22 lbs      Age: 1 1/2 years        Pudding  is an active, friendly boy who along with his brother Vanilla Bean and sister, Chocolate, was found abandoned in a rural part of  Mississippi. Since arriving at the rescue, Pudding has made himself at home, playing with the other dogs and snuggling up with his siblings for naps.         Pudding gets along fine with all the dogs at the rescue and is a loving boy, he just adores a belly rub! He is house trained but like any rescue will likely need some time to adjust in a new home.       On Saturday, November 16 Chocolate and Vanilla bean left the rescue to travel up to the northeast to find loving homes of their own,  sadly leaving Pudding behind. Now it’s this sweet boys turn! Pudding is a loving and gentle dog will make a wonderful member of the family. Pudding is up to date on his vaccinations and has been neutered.      Wags is a registered 501 C3, it is a struggling rescue in Mississippi where one woman cares for almost 150 homeless dogs. Story
Buddy appears to be a Jack Russell Terrier/other terrier mix. He is around 1 year of age and weighs 24 pounds. He was found under a bridge in one of the local dumping areas. It is no surprise that Buddy was scared when we first got him, but he quickly warmed up. He loves getting attention from his people. He loves pets and being close to his humans. He loves belly rubs and will roll over on his back whenever you bend over to pick him up. Buddy is small but mighty. He is muscular and high-energy and requires exercise. He loves to run and wrestle with other dogs. Sometimes, he can be naughty and will intimidate one of our more submissive dogs. Yet he backs down when one of the chihuahuas or another dog puts him in his place. Buddy is generally a good boy, and training is a work in progress. He listens well and comes when called. He is crate-trained and fairly well-behaved in the house. We are working on teaching him manners. He gets jumpy when he wants attention and more training is needed. He responds well to "no" and the "tsch" correction (as used by Cesar Milan). It would be best if applicants have dog experience and are willing to hire a trainer if necessary. Buddy would love his new family to play with him, take him on walks, cuddle, and give him a lot of affection and belly rubs. Buddy must be an inside dog and a loved member of the family. He must be walked on a leash and have a secure, fenced yard to run and play. Buddy is neutered, tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. He is heartworm-negative and receives monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Buddy is ready to change his zip code. He is located in Texas but can be transported after he is adopted. Buddy's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Pittsburgh area.
