Story
Meet Colby! Colby came to us from a humane case, and now this little guy is ready to find a loving home! This small pup has been VERY shy and scared while in our care. He is a dog that will need a lot of time and patience to really start coming out of his shell. At this time, Colby generally will hide away from human attention and is not the biggest fan of being touched. He has never shown aggression when being picked up or moved about, but he would prefer if cuddling was kept to a minimum at first. Colby does seem to enjoy small stuffed toys and comfy beds that he can curl up in. Colby NEEDS to go into a home with another dog. Another dog's presence is a big comfort to Colby and in the future, may help bring him out of his shell. Colby has done well meeting cats. If your feeling bleu, Colby is always there to give you a snuggle and make your day gouda! If Colby is the boy for you, please fill out an application for him today! Colby is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Story
Meet Tex, a 5yr old miniature schnauzer. Tex had a great start in life, but sadly, due to an unfortunate series of events, he ended up being afraid of being groomed, and suffered years of neglect. Luckily for Tex, his vet knew him to be the wonderful dog he is and reached out to us to see if we could help him. So here he is. Tex and is a typical Schnauzer, he's intense! Completely devoted to his people, he is brilliant in the house, has wonderful manners, is extremely bonded and devoted to his person. Very snuggly and cuddly and wants to be right with his human if they are around . LOVES car rides, if the door is opened, he's jumping in! He's good with strangers, loves to check them out and make sure they're ok, but doesn't show his affectionate wiggly, hilarious side until you've at least given him a couple of treats!! Tex is good with respectful children, but doesnt like to be picked up. He's great with other dogs but would prefer a home where he gets all the attention!! If there are other dogs in the home, they need to be lower energy, easy going personalities or Tex will feel the need to keep them all organized and under control!! Lol Tex is very nervous of being groomed and having his nails done, he especially doesnt like his feet touched. For now, he will need mild sedation, a muzzle and an experienced handler to groom or trim his nails. His current foster (who adores him) will happily offer her services to do this for him until he gets more confidence in being groomed and having his nails trimmed. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter. PetConnect Rescue cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and the general appearance of the animal at the time they enter our system.
