Meet Apple Pie Apple Pie is a 5-month-old Giant Schnauzer mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he’s still in quarantine and awaiting his neuter surgery, we couldn’t wait to share this confident and playful pup with you. Apple Pie, like his brother Cheesecake, will grow into a large dog, so he’ll need a home that can match his energy and give him the space he needs to thrive. This affectionate and lively boy is full of curiosity and loves to explore every nook and cranny of his environment. Apple Pie is a bit more outgoing than his brother, making him the first to dive into new experiences. A significant percentage of these returns involve out-of-area clients or those who have not completed training with GDU. To address this, positive reinforcement training with Green Dogs Unleashed is required as a condition for all adoptions. Preference for this dog will be given to adopters who commit to signing up for and completing our six-week Canine 101 training class in person at our headquarters in Troy, VA. Secondary consideration will be given to a limited number of out-of-area adopters who agree to complete one private lesson with GDU, either in person or virtually, and attend a pre-approved positive reinforcement training class in their area.
