Hi, my name is Tinker and I am from Missouri! Tinker is one of the sweetest pups that will steal your heart. She loves her toys. She throws them in the air and then pounces. When you want to sit, relax and watch your favorite movie she’s in your lap and ready to cuddle. She often stares up at you to let you know she’s in love and so happy to be near you. She is super chill for a 6 month old pup. She loves to play but enjoys her nap time. She sleeps through the night in her crate by her foster's bedside. Not a peep. She’s going on consecutive days with out an accident so potty training is around the corner. From the foster: Tinker is not fond of the crate when I leave the house. Tinker still has some mouthing tendencies but redirects immediately with a toy or her nylon bone to chew. Once she outgrows this stage I can see her fit into any family with small children.

*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* --- Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your Senior dog in top shape. This pet is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease and is available through our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program. Activity must be restricted for several weeks during recovery. RSR will cover the full cost of treatment. RSR will provide heartworm preventatives until the retest is due. The adopter will be responsible for scheduling the retest and obtaining any follow-up prescriptions through their veterinarian. Click Here to learn more about heartworm disease. Dennis is from Texas. He was found there as a stray and brought into rescue after his stray hold was up. Dennis is a sweet little distinguished gentleman. He loves his treats and takes them so gently. Dennis is completely potty trained and will also kennel up (it might take a bribe, but he'll go in) when it's time for bed, and sleeps there soundly through the night. Dennis also knows a few basic commands, sit, stay, come, etc. Dennis loves everyone he meets.. there are no strangers.. just friends he hasn't met yet.. lol. Story
Wallace came to us as a rescue 4 years ago from a farm where he was abandoned by his mother who had been mistreated and the woners had stopped feeding her. He was a tiny puppy, full of life and wonder and no health issues unlike his brother who we also adopted. Wallace eventually grew into his ears.and his big paws! His birthday is April 9th, he will be 4 years old as of this April 2026. He's always been a good hunter of sorts, loves to chaise squirrels especially when able to :) He loves to run, he has a long gate when he gets going and can cover lots of ground. We was originally crate trained when we first adopted him but since relocating to Minneapolis he has not used his crate, but he was very good about going into the crate for sleep at night. He is a.tall dog so you have to be careful about leaving food on counters.as he'll enjoy a snack if he can reach it lol. He does really well on walking in the city when we incorporate the gentle leader, this helps keep him from pulling.
