You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.  Do you want to meet me? I will be at SLP Pet Evolution, 5217 Excelsior Blvd, St Louis Park, MN 55416 (Miracle Miles Shopping Center) for an Adoption Event on Saturday, March 1st from 1:00-3:00 pm. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. Hi there, I’m Jaycee! I’m a 3-year-old Giant Schnauzer, weighing about 50 pounds of quiet sweetness. I’m on the shy side, but every day I’m learning to come out of my shell a little more—and I can’t wait to meet a forever family who’ll help me grow even braver! At home, I’m an easy-going girl with lots of energy. I’m perfectly potty trained and only go outside for my business or on nice walks where I can explore the world. I sleep a lot, but I’m always ready to join you, whether it’s on an outing or relaxing at home.  I do need a fenced in yard because I have not yet learned the ways of the leash.  I am practicing, but I'm also scared of stuff too so without a fence, I may get spooked and run away and once I find you I certainly don't want to ever lose you!   I love playdates with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful sibling who can show me the ropes. I don’t usually play with toys on my own, but with another dog around, I’m much more interested in joining the fun! I have discovered bones and horns and well, pretty much anything I can chew on, including stuffies!  I also will fake bite when I play with you too.  I am getting braver by the day and have even learned how to do stairs!  I’m not really food-motivated and still getting used to treats, but I think I’m just figuring out how to enjoy all the good things in life.  Dog parks are my favorite! A bit of training would help build my confidence and make me the best companion I can be.  I’m not much of a barker—except when I see a cat! If you’re looking for a sweet, curious, and youthful dog who will adore having a sibling and bring calm energy to your home, I might just be your perfect match. Let’s meet soon—I’d love to be part of your family! *Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.   ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Please email inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com for questions regarding the dogs. I’m Batman (no cape, but I do have some super-snuggle powers), a 50-pound, Giant Schnauzer/Labrador mix with a heart full of joy and adventure. I’m a happy-go-lucky guy, always by your side and ready to bring the fun. If you need a snuggle buddy, I’ve got you covered – my sister, Jaycee, and I are pros at bonding over nap time.  I’m a people-pleaser and love to share (especially toys). I’ve got some impressive skills like coming when called and sitting like a champ. I even get along with dogs of all sizes – I’m a social butterfly! When I'm not playing or snuggling, you'll find me outside enjoying my fenced yard (a must-have for my adventures) or going for daily walks. I might even like water once it warms up – I’m ready for any splashy fun! I only do barkage if I'm alarmed but otherwise am fairly quiet gentleman.  I love chewing on bones too!   So, if you're looking for a loyal, loving companion who knows how to keep the fun flowing, I might be your guy! And hey, if you already have a dog, that’s cool – I’m best pals with Jaycee, but I’d be happy to join any family of friendly dogs.  I'm also house trained, crate trained and good with kiddos under 12.  So you know, basically, I'm the perfect mix of chill and playful. Story
Age: Approximately 5 years old Weight: 20 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown/not tested Kid friendly: Yes Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes - the longest she has been crated is 3-4 hours Avery is a super, sweet dog with a big heart. She is very shy and cautious at first, but once she is comfortable she will cuddle with her people all day long. The snow and cold is a new endeavor for her, but she’s getting used to it. Once it melts away and warms up, she’ll love to run around in a fenced in yard or take long walks. Avery would do well in many households, but would probably thrive in a house where she can relax to the max. If you’re up for some fetch, she will play for a bit and run around with you. She’s very excited to see people when they come home. But mostly she has a very gentle, quiet personality. When meeting other dogs and new people she is very cautious and shy. It’s rare to hear her bark and when she does, she doesn’t go on and on. Avery is fully potty trained. Adoption Fee: $695
