Story
Meet Remie!  Remie is a rare purebred Jim Henson's Muppet! This handsome ginger man has a smile that can light up a room. Remie loves being brushed, a good hug and peanut butter sandwiches.  Remie is great with children and adults, other dogs, and so far, disinterested in cats. Unfortunately, Remie's owner surrendered him because they couldn't afford to feed him anymore. Looking for someone who will spoil him and get him back to a healthy weight. He currently weighs 52lbs but is emaciated.  He was amazingly patient getting a bath and will need regular brushings.  He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Remie will be arriving in New England soon, and we are accepting applications on him now! Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2265322##

Story
Meet Benny, a handsome 4 year old neutered male wire haired terrier mix, weighing about 64 lbs! Benny and Remie were sadly surrendered by their owner when the owner could no longer care for them (through no fault of the dogs). Benny is a super sweet dog that is good with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Benny loves to be called a "good boy" and that's because he knows it's true! He will flop on his back for pets and will hold your hand with his paws so you won't stop. He can match the energy level of the dogs around him - whether they are chill or active. He's a happy, easy guy! He is medically up to date, crate trained, and housebroken. Apply to meet this sweet boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable.
