Meet Birdie, a young, sweet soul with a playful and smart personality. She's a little shy when faced with new situations, but don't let that fool you. With a little time and patience, Birdie quickly gains confidence, especially when she's around her fellow canine friends. Her intelligence shines through in her love for games, particularly fetch, which she could play for hours on end. Birdie's sweetness and playful nature make her an ideal companion for anyone seeking a loyal friend. Despite her initial timidity, Birdie's ability to adapt and learn quickly is remarkable. She's not just looking for a home, she's looking for a lifelong companion who can offer her love, care, and lots of fun games of fetch. She is crate trained and is working on house training and walking on the leash and is making progress but still needs a little more practice. We recommend that you and Birdie sign up for some dog training classes together, ideally in the first 60 days or so of bringing her home. Group training classes are a great way to reinforce important skills, learn some new tricks, and get some quality socialization time with other furry friends. Adopt Birdie and experience the joy of unconditional love and companionship that only a pet like her can provide. An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see HERE for more information about this. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
